This year's team seems to obviously beer a bit worse then the other title winners.

Even he seems kinda surprised they're one more punking of Kirby away from a title.

I'd go yes. We lose amazing players every year, but in terms of rookie production, this was our single greatest exodus of talent in one year

We lost Mac, Devonta, Barmore, Waddle, Najee, Surtain, Dickerson, and Leatherwood. Literally 8 guys starting as rookies in the NFL and most of them were captains and/or lockerroom leaders. If there was ever a year to go 9-3 under Saban, this would have been it. (although we were not far from it)

Even if Bama doesn't win, I believe this is his best coaching job.

Thank the Lord for Bryce Young.

I'm voting for the year he won a National Title with that ugly mother fricker Jake Coker as QB1

A decent argument could be made. But that team was loaded with high end future NFL guys. Derrick Henry, Ryan Kelly, Minkah, Eddie Jackson, Marlon Humphrey, and Jonathan Allen have all made pro bowls. Not to mention a handful of other guys who are NFL starters. We'll have to wait and see if this Bama team matches that

This x 1000. The fact that we even made the playoffs after what I watched during most of this season, especially the Auburn game, we're lucky to be here. But this wasn't luck per se, that coaching in the SEC Champ game was amazing.

Now I think UGA gets us in the NC Game and if so, I'll tip my cap, they had a helluva season and deserve it as much or more than Bama.

But yea, this has been Saban and that coaching staff's best coaching run that I remember. Every other year we were loaded with Sr's or Jr's to carry the team. Hell, Will Anderson is only a soph, that's insane.

actually I think the 2003 Natty team was his best coaching job. All these Alabama teams have more talent than that team did.

Definitely. This Bama team is almost as untalented as the 1991 Texas State Fighting Armadillos. They do have a Heisman winning QB and aren't counting on a 34 year old QB or a physics professor to start on the O and D Line.

He really has done an amazing job this year.

What a great team to ride off into the sunset with!

I think this is Saban's best coaching job since 2014. Obviously better than 2014 at this juncture because they made the CFPCG instead of losing in the semis.

I kinda feel like the 2009 team was his best job mostly because they werent what they are now, plus that team went undefeated.

At the beginning of the season Bama wasn't even supposed to win the SEC West.

Now Bama has an SEC title and is about to play for a national title.

So yeah, it's pretty damned impressive what he's done this year.

If every year that LSU sucks is going to have an * attached to it, we're going wear down the 8 key.

Funny how Asterisk years seem to happen whoever LSU sucks. In that case, 2022 may be a hashtag double asterisk &@!##***€ year for LSU.

Actually 2008 showed what was about to happen.
