OMG, you're right! Alabama should have scored a touchdown but was forced to kick a field goal on 3rd down with time running out!... Oh wait, that was LSU, not Alabama

you're a dipsphit

When is the last time Bama played a Bowl Game against an SEC team? It almost never happens. We beat you. You play in a conference. After the season is over, you play another conference. IT'S HAPPENED EVERY YEAR!

Funny.. you took two knees to end regulation and ran out of downs..not time in regulation

This proves a few things:
1. Saban QUIT
2. Saban did not believe in his players to get it done
3. Saban is not as fun as The Mad Hatter (we would've thrown it twice to the endzone if that's what it took)
4. LSU fans are much better off since 2004

Oh my God! Are all gumps like this? I mean really? Any gump in with a shred of intelligence that lives near Hoyt should go to Hoyt's house and kick his father in the balls for not pulling out and shooting his load on his mothers face that evening Hoyt was conceived!

How can "experts" not vote for the two best teams in the country to compete for the ultimate prize? A game that was decided by a field goal in overtime is living proof that the two best teams are LSU and Alabama: in that order (for now).

(1) You're just concluding that Bama is the second best team.
(2) I think Okie State has the better argument. Quality wins is more important than "quality losses". And this should not be a controversial idea.
(3) Okie State had one bad, flukey loss on the road. This was a worse loss than Bama's loss. But they have more quality wins. This is a fact that simply cannot be disputed.
(4) Who you beat is a more important consideration than who you lost to.
(5) Deserving teams do beat Kansas State, Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor, Missouri, and TAMU. The wins against Tulsa, Arizona, Lafayette are better wins than Kent State, North Texas, Georgia Southern.
(6) Thus, your bald conclusion that Bama is the second best team in the country is nothing more than the bald, unsupported conclusion than it is. And is little more than a waste of quality of electrons.
(7) I love that you throw in the old-man football cliche of "Defense wins Championships". That's funny. Scoring more points than the opponent wins games. Winning games wins championships. And to score more points than the opponent, an elite defense is not required. Y'all had a better defense than Auburn last year, and how did that work out for you?

If Bama/LSU doesn't happen it will be time to act like a fricking man & congratulate LSU on their NC. They deserve it.

Possible 12-1 season with a Sugar Bowl win isn't anything to be ashamed of. We beat the dogshit out Penn State, Tennessee, Florida,Auburn, & Arkansas. That would be 48 wins in 4 seasons which is more than anyone could ever ask for & something most all the rest of the college football world could only dream about.

Be happy my fellow Bama fans & trust that this won't be the last time we're in the championship hunt.

I guess my point is to not act like a gigantic pussy tomorrow if it doesn't go our way. Hoyt, you're already off to a terrible start.

God bless you, good sir. Even if you don't make it in the BCSCG, there is still much to be proud of for this season, and much to look forward to for what appears to be a bright future for years to come.

As a perpetually depressed Tennessee fan, I'd commit multiple murders to have the Vols be in the situation Bama is in. I'm kidding. But you're program is in a great place, and I wish I'd appreciated the days when my program was in a really nice place.

THIS!!!

A few years ago we would have been begging for seasons like this. We have been in the discussion for the BCSNC at this time 3 out of 4 years if you count the day of the SECCG before we lost to Florida.

If we get in, it'll be awesome. If not, I will pull for LSU to keep up the SEC dominance over the BCSNC.

This. I took it for granted back then. Beating Bama every year and regular Sec Championship games. Now with this mess we are in it has really opened my eyes. I miss those days when everything was so simple.

Look, you guys didn't win your conference, you didn't even win your division of your conference. OSU won the Big 12. If conference championships, hell, conference DIVISION championships mean anything, OSU should get the nod. Do I think Bama is better than OSU? Probably. But OSU looked damn impressive last night and I sure hope (if they're the opponent) LSU does not take them lightly, b/c I could see their offense giving LSU or Bama's defense a few fits.

I can't. LSU or Bama will/would whip them into submission. Period. End of story.

Nope, the final vote will come out today. If Okla State jumps Bama and is # 2, then by what you say Okla State deserves to be in the NC game.....I agree.....

If that's the way you think the BCS is designed to work then just say all the conference division champions except for the SEC conference have 4 loses but won their division but you got 2 teams in the SEC conference that have a better record and are ranked 1 and 2 then there you go the BCS is not designed for a match up that is determined by conference champions it is designed to get the 2 best teams "1 and 2" to play for the National Championship.
