What has Bama done to be more deserving of the BCSCG than OSU?

you can't blame it on lack of trying on ESPN's part.

At least even Bama fans can see it. Even you guys have to be getting tired of it. I wish people would just let it shake out the way it's gonna happen. No more politicking.

This guy sums up my reasons right here:

quote:

In 2006 SEC fans were on the other side of the equation and arguing the same point that they are against this year. Michigan vs. Ohio State had no business happening because there shouldn’t be a rematch

quote:

On that note, it’s not that I think Oklahoma State, Stanford, or Virginia Tech is a better team than Alabama, but you could argue that they both deserve a shot if they win tonight. If Va. Tech makes good on making amends for its only loss by beating Clemson in a rematch in the ACC Championship, and if Oklahoma State takes it to its nemesis Oklahoma, both have just as much right to punch a ticket to the BCS National Championship game.

Yet your number one defense was good for second place in your own division and left out of the conference championship game. Bama had their shot at home after a bye in prime time and choked. Give a high power offense a chance to see if defense really does win championships...I happened to like the challenge Gundy threw out tonight after OSU beat a top ten team and won their conference.

entitled much?

There is no way to objective prove that Bama is #2. My personal opinion is that Bama is the 2nd best, but I can't say that for a fact. Oklahoma State is as deserving as Bama is.

Oklahoma State just finished blowing out a team that is better than anyone you have beat all year. They won their conference and there is no concrete proof that they are not as good as Bama. The difference is, they haven't had their shot.

Going into this week, I knew Alabama was the second best team, but still felt Okie State should get in based on the above facts.

But now, I'm not even sure Alabama is the second best team.

I hope you didn't say anything against the rematch that was proposed in 2006.

You didnt even win your division, and already lost to LSU at home. Your schedule was a joke.

Even if you did get to the game and beat LSU, why would you be Natl Champs? You would have split with LSU and played 1 less game than LSU since you didn't have to play in the SEC Championship game.

How can Alabama lose to LSU at home, beat them at a neutral site (hypothetically), win 1 less overall game, not win the SEC championship that LSU won, and still claim the national title.

We would need a LSU/Bama III in Tiger Stadium to decide it.
