If Alabama beats Ga, playoff committee will have to admit they made a mistake, or not?

Removing Ga from their no1 ranking was one idiot thing they had to correct, having Alabama ranked below less deserving one loss teams was another. Ga is playing at an elite level right now and playing better than anyone else in the country so how can they ignore a one loss team taking them down?

I don’t see how one can trust these people in the committee, makes you wonder if this has become a popularity contest among Heisman candidates instead of judging the whole body of work.

I think if Bama beats Georgia, they are in. Based on 2 things:
1. They are now one of the best 4 teams.
2. Beating #1 Georgia trumps losing to a lesser ranked Texas early in season.

No way SEC (mini NFL) gets left out. Its not happening.

They are as a group worthless, I agree as a Bama fan. Only ranking that matters is last one. The various committees have been bailed out every year but this year it seems they may have to truely do the work. 4 Best teams, correct? Isn’t that what they claim? A close Bama win and everything else goes chaulk the 4 best are UGA, Bama, Big 10, and PAC 12 champs with ole Miss 5th, Missouri 6th. ??

Most SEC fans assume SEC champ is in no matter what. But I remember when a committee bumped LSU from no1 in 2019, which is considered now the best college football team ever. These people in the committee can’t be trusted to judge an entire body of work fairly.

They are not to be trusted this year.

Oregon at 6 while Alabama is at 8?

Psh.

Terrible job so far by this committee.

Putting resume aside, I feel like the best four teams in the country right now based on the past few weeks:

1. Georgia
2. Ohio State
3. Oregon
4. Washington
5. Alabama
6. Michigan
7. Florida State

I agree with this. I watched Washington play. But they’re undefeated, so there’s that. Oregon is favored in the rematch. If one loss Oregon wins the PAC and one loss Ala beats Ga. Ala should get in over Oregon but like I posted earlier this damn thing with the committee seems more like a popularity contest among Heisman candidates instead of judging the teams themselves.

Once again we see Ohio State and Michigan lining up as a match up that will put at least one of them in playoff bracket.

Would either of these teams be undefeated in the SEC? Both Penn State and Notre Dame are not signature wins. They are media (CBS) hype wins.

The 12 team bracket will hopefully expose this crap once and for all.

I do believe there is enough Big10 and Pac-12 bias to keep us at 5, even if we win. It isn't a conspiracy against Alabama - but against the SEC because of the predominance of Big10 big-wigs on the panel

I am seeing some media stories putting Michigan and Ohio State in the playoffs. They are hellbent thinking Michigan is the best team in the country,

That team I saw on TV Saturday vs Maryland aint beating Alabama or Georgia. Not with that offense.

But if Alabama wins out and so does Oregon you know who that committee will pick. And they will have a hard time justifying it because of SOS.

They might take two Big 10 teams to puss out. In that case if we win the bowl we should claim a Natty.

The national media’s main focus is on Ohio St and Michigan in the Big10, and Washington and Oregon in the PAC after USC and their Heisman favorite shite the bed.

Never mind that in the SEC, Ga is playing better than anyone in the country on both sides of the ball and LSU’s QB is putting up ridiculous numbers and would do so against Ohio St, Michigan, Wash and Oregon. And despite my grievance vs Bama for targeting LSU players, Alabama is still the most improved team in college football.

I would say wait untill Atlanta is over and see where things stand.
One of UGA/UofA
One of OSU/ Michigan
I would think the winners of those two games will be in.
We shall see.

Bama isn’t going to beat Georgia. The Dawgs actually play defense unlike LSU

How about this scenario?

SEC Champ Bama at 12-1
Big12 Champ Texas at 12-1
PAC12 Champ Washington at 13-0
Big10 Champ Ohio State at 13-0
ACC Champ Florida State at 13-0

Who, of those 5 teams, gets left out?
