are you counting Arkansas among that group? Because no one has dominated Arkansas all year, and they have a good chance at knocking OM off this weekend

It's funny you're still bitter. But you're wrong. If LSU had lost to Bama in the 9-6 game, they would've got a rematch with Bama. That's a fact.

Auburn beat them by 24 and until UGA took their foot off the gas, they were beating them like they stole something.

Georgia is still a dark horse to make the playoff if it's one of those years where everybody chokes at the end of the year and they win out.

This question was asked to Ms Rice. I dont know if she was talking for the committee or if it was her personal answer. But she said THEY would avoid any rematches until the Championship game. So there you go. They will make both teams earn their way through the bracket to face off again. I personally think that makes the most sense and is the fair way to do it.

Auburn game was tied at half time, first game of the year, and they were preseason number 2. Georgia's the only team that really took it to Arkansas. I think they're a really good team though.

I hope it works out where we get two teams, but I want Krusty the Krab and FSU in NOLA.

Huh? Arkansas turned the ball over 3 or 4 times in the first half to spot Georgia the lead. Arkansas kicked Georgia's arse the whole game other than turning it over to start. Georgia didn't take their foot off the gas. They were holding on for dear life! Did you watch the freakin' game? Have you looked at the box score?

The selection committee will seed the two semifinal games to prevent the top seed from playing in a "road" environment.

Some fan bases travel much better than others. Does that mean that the top seeded school would get more tickets allocated to them? That doesn't seem fair.

I just don't see the committee putting two SEC teams in unless they are 2 of 3 remaining 1 loss teams. I think they will claim Conf Championships as the reason. Another interesting point might be Miss States pitiful non-con schedule. Conference wins are great and all, but I think their non-con keeps them out unless Bama loses. I do think Bama loses a either Iron Bowl or SECCG.

My predictions: Florida St, Oregon, Miss St, Baylor

Yes and probably yes. Only so that the rest of the country doesn't go all Updyke on the SEC.

I think the committee is going to shite the bed tonight.

FSU
Bama
Oregon
MSU
is what it should look like (and what I think it will look like)

The problem being that with the remaining schedule for all involved it will be hard to move anyone if they win out and have any type of justification for doing so.

I agree that if they leave Miss St in 4th this week and they beat Ole Miss away there's not much reason to drop them later even if they're not "conference champions".

There are a lot of good points being raised about Miss St vs TCU, Ohio St or Baylor.

However, one that no one is mentioning in diminishing the quality of their wins is that LSU and Auburn beat Wisconsin and Kansas St (neutral and away at that).

Not that this is the end all argument but Baylor or Ohio St's late bump would rest on beating those exact two teams and it's hard to argue that those would be such high quality wins when LSU or Auburn would not.

FSU vs Miss State in Rose Bowl may have trouble selling tickets...

Depends on how they do it

They stuck the LSU donors with tickets for the Michigan vs Virginia Tech Sugar Bowl and some other game. Probably would do the same for tickets in CA as once they sell the tickets the first time, they could care less.

I do agree that FSU vs State in CA may not sell well but Ducks and TCU in NOLA would probably be a real disaster. If 2 SEC teams get in, which I doubt, sending the Tide to CA makes more sense than State.

Arkansas is probably going to skull frick Ole Miss like LSU did. It's a mismatch.. power run vs small DL.

Ok. And if TCU won out and won the Big 12, they would have one loss to a top 5 team by only 3 points. Why would you put State in over a team like TCU who won their conference and only had one loss to a top 5 team?

TCU and State would have almost identical resumes but TCU would have the conference championship. How would you put in State over them?

Here's where your logic falls apart. Try to keep up, OK?

If TCU wins out, they DO NOT win the Big 12 unless Baylor loses. Baylor would win the conference based on head to head.

So...if you're talking about a Big 12 conference champion, the two options are, we are comparing MSU with their only loss to a a #1, 2, or 3 ranked Alabama, to a TCU, whose loss is to a TWO LOSS Baylor. That loss will end up being NOT to a "top 5" team. Advantage MSU.

Or, we will be comparing a one loss MSU...again, only loss to Bama...to a one loss Baylor, who lost to an unranked West Virginia. Again, advantage MSU.
