There had to be at least five teams in the sec to include bama that would have beat the Irish that year. LSU lost to clempson in the peach bowl that year, but prolly would have been much more focused in the championship. That was peak sec the last 15 years

I have to agree. Now, he is right to a degree about 2012 , Ole Miss won 9 games and MSU won 10. There was more competition in conference that year. BUT.....

Having said that, in my lifetime I do not recall an Alabama team so loaded in the skill position area, QB, OL etc. So, imo this team was the greatest Bama team to ever take the field.

If A&M is good enough to take second in the league, it shows you the league was very weak and down this year. The SEC was a shell of its former self this COVID year. Great year Bama, but the SEC sucked this year.

I’ll take the 2011 team that split with LSU and won the NC. They may have had one loss but it was a heavyweight fight, and they were excellent on both sides of the ball.

Also think for LSU it was one of the best teams not to win a championship.

The 2012 team had 1 major weakness.....Doug Nussmeier. Worst play caller in Sabans tenure at Alabama.

Yeah because if Bama had played two or three other ooc games and if fans were allowed in the stands, they would have all of the sudden not been able to score almost 50 points a game and would have lost.

Everyone played just about everyone else which leads to overall records being down in the SEC. What part of this do people like you not understand? League wasn't down as evident in the bowl games.

Just didn't have 3 other ooc games to boost the overall records. You people are highly unintelligent.

Lookie here Boudreaux, if that’s your criteria, then 16-0 North Dakota State, 2018, is better than 15-0 LSU...suck on that “baw...”

A Florida fan really can’t use Georgia southern as an argument until they beat them

7-2 in bowl games. One of those losses had the entire starting receiving corps and main tgt in their TE opt out before the bowl, and the team tha5t played got a whole 3 practice sessions together before the game. The other loss was to the B1G runner up by a team playing without a HC and run by a DC on his way out.

seemed pretty good to me. The overall records are what they are because of a 10 game all conference schedule where one team went undefeated (4 with 7+ wins) and no OOC cupcakes. It wasn't the strongest its ever been, but on par with recent years in terms of competitiveness.
