They know amateurism and the whole thing is on the fade.
They're cashing in, they know joining the SEC will damage if not destroy their usual W-L column legacy. They are selling that out for a paycheck, and more rare playoff appearances and hardware.

They have traditionally dropped games against inferior opponents in the Big 12, and one should expect them to do so even more in a more difficult league. I feel that Oklahoma is going to be an 8-4, 9-3 type team with occasional 10-2 seasons. Don't think they challenge for league titles but a couple times a decade, and probably significantly extend their two decades plus national title drought.

Basically, we do pretty well when playing the non-SEC champ. How many SEC teams would fare well when only being judged against the team that won the SEC?
Now try playing Florida, Alabama & Auburn every year and staying healthy enough to win bowl games more than every few years. Don’t forget to throw in the other SEC teams that may not win the SEC frequently but they beat the shite out of you and destroy any position depth you have.

Most OU fans I've known have been cool but I did work with one of them that was a bit of an outlier. She would bring up that game all the time like it was a national championship season for them.

Everybody hates the SEC. The big ten fans claim their worthiness by how much they hate the SEC. The ACC hates the SEC. Danny Kannell hates the SEC. Herby hates the SEC. The PAC 8,10,12 hates the SEC. It is all one big hate fest.

Congrats on your NC LSU fans that was two years ago . Last year you was not relevant. Try not to act like OU is coming in here and losing 6 games? Can you even do math? Bama okay I get it they have the upper hand but the game is no gimme we have beaten them just as many times as they have beaten us. UGS beat us by 3 when we basically dominated the entire game with a crappy defense. We have better atheletes and coaches now and finished 5th in total defense efficiency last year . Your next best team Florida was dismantled by us last year . So at worst we are gojng 10-3 every year and at best we will be fighting for first . 6 losses lol

Well you did lose to Kansas State and Iowa State last year.
Each of those teams lost to Sun Belt teams
