When their Hero Joe Burrow takes a knee during the National Anthem?

It is gonna happen, at some point during the NFL season it will happen

Unlike the LSU Fanbase Joe Burrow understands empathy

Man, I enjoy watching LSU football, and Joe was a great one, but I have no heroes. If Burrow was to do something like that I’d think less of him, but I don’t know the guy personally, so I couldn’t tell you whether he’s a good dude or not.

What happened to Floyd was wrong. It was a sadistic act of violence. Normal people understand this and are against it. Normal people also understand rioting, looting and burning cars and buildings while attacking good cops is also wrong.

Here in Houston at Jack Yates high school where Floyd attended, there was a large peaceful protest. School officials and friends of Floyd spoke out that all of the above is wrong. Destroying your own community because your angry doesn't benefit anyone.

The perpetrator who killed Floyd will go to prison. Rightfully so. I can guarantee you it won't be fun for him. Prison isn't filled with kind, nice guys looking to welcome you with open arms and a party. Chauvin will feel pain he didn't know existed and maybe death. In fact, his only protection may be solitary confinement. What a miserable existence.

I'm sad about what happened to the victim in this case. I'd never want to be treated the way he was. I understand the grief and anger others feel about this event. That's empathy.

I respect my country and the people who've fought to keep our freedoms. That has nothing to do with an isolated case of police brutality.

Unlike PeeJayScammedGT, I understand logic.

Sorry pal, based on an amalgamation of comments from LSU fans on a myriad of topics your response doesn't represent the majority of LSU fans

Go find the thread that was created when Burrow first put out that Tweet and read the comments from your fellow LSU Fans

Burrow commented on systemic racism, and took heat about that.

No it won't. He's far from stupid and can't be manipulated like some have been.

Almost all entertainers and athletes get lobotomized the longer they are in the industry.

Sure, keep thinking that.

Spot on. Don't believe that Jeaux will be another Erik Reid. Reid was just a follower to Kapernik, Jeaux is a leader. What you said bout that cop is true, his life will be miserably. Biggest mistake ever & wishes he could redo that day, my guess.

Joey will do what his handlers tell him to but they won't have him do that. They got big plans for him though. You knew it with his heisman speech

Joe may say and do a few more things to call out injustice in society, but he's not dumb enough to take a knee during the anthem. We've already seen that's basically career suicide.

That’s a brilliant scientific take-that an entire fan base doesn’t “ understand empathy “. What a break through !

Idiot.

You didn’t grow up poor in a black community like some of us and that is evident by your remarks.
Starting shite about something you don’t have a clue.
I graduated from LSU in 1972 and can assure you that 90+ % of the people on here have ZERO knowledge of what true racism is or what people had to overcome - including Joe Burrow so I’ll chalk that up to ignorance. He might have saw a glimpse of poverty in his area, but he didn’t see racism - he saw classism. I experienced that personally.
For the record, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida are by far the most bigoted states against African Americans (And now Mexican Americans) yet people love to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Stop making a mockery of a serious topic to get downvoted.

Your prose is terrible and your grammar is poor. Did you really graduate LSU in 72 without understanding noun verb agreement?

I have said it before but no way you are not an alter! You post about LSU every time you are on here

You are no better than the people that made those comments! We have fans of all races at LSU and for you to use this situation to take a jab at LSU fans is beyond ridiculous and offensive.
