I've been on their campus. And it looks like a very, very impressive junior college.

Good for them, but they do not belong in the SEC imvho.

UCF should be considered next SEC expansion.

Second largest legitimate college in America (behind Arizona State) despite being found in 1963. Already has a bigger living alumni base than half the SEC.

Plus they have a state of the art Beer Tasting Lab on campus. UCF has a great campus.

Plus they would bring up the hawt college girl average. They have some very good looking girls at UCF.

I've been told it is pretty much a commuter college. I have no idea if that's true or not.

At almost 60k enrollment it would have to be, plus it is in the middle of Orlando if I remember correctly. Most likely a wide variety of students.

I was actually hoping UCF was part of the last expansion. UF didn't want that to happen.

Lets add Rice while we are at it. Everyone knows they were the best non-sec bowl team this year (if everyone were State fans).

Sounds like the University of Houston.
Big school.
Big city.
Many commuters.
Non-traditionally aged students.

Well, the powers that be would have to give a hard look at finances. Orlando being what it is, there are only so many entertainment dollars for people to spend. Would they fill a big stadium? If winning sure but during lean years would it be a ghost town (as seen with the Canes). One thing for sure, they wouldn't need to go far for recruits.

I doubt they would ever be seriously considered enough for UF to have to say anything.

Why wait for expansion - get rid of Ole Miss and replace them.

Ghost-town on the weekends. Nothing at all like an SEC school in any way.

I vote we get them.

I would think that expanding to a non-SEC state (VA? NC? OK?) makes more sense than picking up another school from a current SEC state.

VA and NC make sense. OK honestly brings very little to the conference. Unless the state legislature agreed to separate the schools, OK and Okie lite come as a package deal, so you'd have 2 schools with few TV sets, poor academics and, outside of football, average programs. And when Gundy eventually leaves Okie Lite, their football program becomes very suspect.

I think any future expansion comes in NC and VA - both states with big populations, so lots of TV sets (lots of money for the conference) and a choice of schools, all of which could be good fits.

Not recommending them, but Louisville used to be that way, just smaller and without the recruiting base.

I do not get the love for Orlando. Not at all.

But who? With the grant-of-rights deal, it won't be an ACC team. We are at 14 for a long time I think.
