His success has been in an extremely weak conference, his championship came with an extremely special quarterback , and I have serious doubts about his character and how he has handled discipline and criminal issues on his football team.

I have no control over who Texas A&M hires to be head coach, But if LSU would’ve got him the last two years I would’ve been skeptical as well just as I still think Tom Herman is a joke, was unproven, and will eventually fail.

I think there are probably better choices out there but But I could be wrong and the decision-makers could be right. I guess we’ll find out.

Ps. If we money whip him away from Florida State, I still reserve the right to laugh at LSU and texass for getting told no by Fisher and his agent

I'm not saying you are wrong, but Jimbo brought FSU back in a big way.

Who's your guy you prefer over Jimbo?

Neither am I. But, I'm just a fan with no skin. Wow, 10 years seems excessive to me

Being tied at the hip to Jimbo for 10 years at this stage in his career would, and did, scare me as a fan. He seems very set in his ways and openly opposed to any change.

I couldn't agree more about Jimbo. I get torn a new one on the MSB every time I make this exact post.

Dude is incredibly overrated, IMO.

I’d put hiring Jimbo just behind UCLA hiring Kelly as the best hire so far. Jeremy Pruitt proved that given the right DC Jimbo can win big. If he makes the right hire at aTm he’ll be competing for division titles.

Jimbo Fisher is, by any objective standard, one of the top 5 coaches in college football. That's simply a fact.

I would have been thrilled with Jimbo a few years ago, thrilled.

But he seems almost burnt out now. The weight gain, the scruff, the slip in record.....

However, a change in scenery could be what he needs.

LOL this is such a cop out. Wants to go on record saying he is not a fan of the hire, but will talk shite until his fingers fall off on here if he is successful.

Yeahhh his 5-6 record definitely proves that claim.

35-3 to Boston fricking College.

Aggy will have a worse record next year than they do now, fact.

Like I've said before, I don't think Fisher is going to turn aTm into a team that competes for the SEC title year in and year out (like Florida State did).

However, he should make you better and more competitive than you are now. And that's all that matters, really.

He is sort of sleazy, and the way he portrayed himself to the media while Jameis was on the team was soooooo fake. But it's whatever. A lot of coaches are fake or assholes.

I did not want Jimbo at LSU because of the same issues you mention. I would’ve preferred Herman. I really like O, but he wasn’t even close to my first choice.

Having said that, Jimbo is a big name hire, and he’s probably the most proven big time coach anyone will hire this year. I think it’s good for the SEC, and it’ll be interesting to see how he does at A&M.

He lost the team this season. There was no respect for him in that locker room. No doubt. However, as I've said, it probably takes a lot of work and patience to keep the locker room at a place like Florida State where there's constantly extra drama on and off the field.

He's probably just tired of it. Add the fact that aTm will pay him and his assistants more, has better facilities, and way better fan support; and the move makes a lot of sense.

The MSB is composed about 85% of 30 something year old LSU fans who have graduated from being knee-jerk rantards and like to have more civil discussion, but still have an 03' natty poster hanging in their man cave with Jimbo in an LSU throwback polo. They will viciously defend their idol, and have only one above him who bore Jimbo of his rib.
