The issue is the judge enjoined the SEC. This goes to federal court.

no, but a judge in Dallas also struck down the SEC and NCAA. why don't you look into all the schools who were after these players. you seem to be stuck on LSU and Kiffin.

I don’t know the federal judges that would be involved or if they be any better for the SEC outside of having a cleaner appeal process just thru Federal judges which did help stay the Colorado Judge’s TRO; but doesn’t a defendant have the ability to ask for this federal law issue to be moved to a federal court with original jurisdiction and then have it moved (outside of where it’s restricted by federal law)?
The filing of the Dallas suit with the SEC seems to have been after the SEC rule if not the same day as the TRO, and the BR court’s amended suit to include the SEC is as well. I don’t think the 30 day clock has expired for the SEC.
If situation still allows for the SEC to ask to move to federal court should the SEC do it?

It is so bizarre to see someone arguing in favor of reparations for overpaid former college athletes.

I am not arguing for reparations. I just don't think the conference is the responsible party. I do think the NCAA made the 5 for 5 policy after denying eligibilty for the 2022 class. That appears to be an issue on the face of the argument.
As for timing, I am not sure. That depends on how rapid the NCAA and SEC desire to get to court.

Should we compensate players who played during the era when freshmen could not play? What about all the players who played prior to NIL? Should we compensate them because the rules changed?
On a broader level, should we dig up and bring back to life inmates executed in California since they now don’t allow the death penalty there?
Rules and laws change. You move forward. You don’t go back and try to change history.
