Clemson win out. To date the committee has made the least controversial picks every time and see no reason they'll break that trend this year.
Again, it's highly unlikely Bama loses any game. I'm a firm believer that they are far better than the rest.

Gump mulligan is a tradition now. Saban will go on tv the day dressed like a used car salesman after the SECCG, begging for another chance. And they will get it.

I honestly don't think the had a choice last year. That Iowa loss was too horrendous coupled with the OU loss.

The college playoffs is about matching up the four best teams.
It isn't about finding a way one of the four best teams can't be included just because people have develop severe insecurities and PTSD from the beatings.

How about this scenario?
Tua gets a cuncussion after 1st quarter score Bama 21-7. Mac Jones is the QB the rest of the because Hurts is still out. We lose 24-21 in OT.
Since Tua's injury is slight and not expected to keep him out of the PO's and Jalen Hurts is due back as well Bama is clearly better than UGA so Bama is the 4th team and UGA gets left out.

We're not going to beat bama in the championship game. Really like our team but the front 7 just isn't championship material this season.

2 of the best teams in the country can easily be in the same conference or even in the same division of a conference.
Unfortunately football doesn't have a good way to truly determine which teams are really better than each other because the teams can't play a series against each other.

The committee clearly thinks Bama is the best team by a mile. Table the #1 ranking, think about how they ranked LSU after the drubbing in BR. The Tigers weren’t competitive at all, and they dropped them 4 spots, in front of three 1-loss Power 5 teams.
My point is, Bama doesn’t need to win the SECCG. I think they’re at least 2 TD’s better than UGA but it’s not do or die for Bama. ND at 12-0 is not better than Bama at 12-1. Remember, these rankings are based on eye test, and not one person on the committee thinks Michigan, ND, or Clemson is better than Bama.

I'm sorry you don't feel this way but Alabama IS one of the four best teams - there is no question about this at all.
Michigan would be left out if all keep winning - no doubt. Still a long way to go though - something surprising always happens.

I agree if Clemson, ND, Michigan all win out SEC championship game is a must win for both Bama and Georgia! Loser is out of the playoffs!
