B1G is starting to look like they are going to get 4 teams in. OSU just lost their best interior OL for the year in practice today (familiar name for gumps... Seth McLaughlin). Kid was having a nice rebound season after last years shite show

OSU already lost their LT and his backup got banged up. If their OL gets overwhelmed against Indiana this week they should be on the outside looking in at 10-2, missing half your OL = not a serious title contender... but we all know that likely wont be the case

Beating top 25 teams is a style that doesn't work?

but we need to start winning our OOC games.

Beating Clemson didnt help UGA. We would be in the same spot if we played Joke State instead.

Doesnt help that Clemson is shite this year. They got their arse kicked by Louisville and they should have lost to Pitt last weekend. The last minute of that game was one of the biggest bed shites of the season.

Clemson got go ahead score in about 20 seconds. Pitt then got down to the ~30 yard line with about 25 seconds left on the clock and Narduzzi waited for the clock to run down to 14 seconds before calling the TO

Good enough for top 20, unlike actual shite teams.

That is some serious mental gymnastics

while that is true.. it is also true that you knocked out Clemson by playing that game

We open @ The Shoe next year.. with 3-4 new OL and Arch. Gonna be a tough game..

I fail to see how stating a fact is somehow “mental gymnastics”.

As much as I'd like to see the Longhorns go to the SECCG and win the thing, the SEC office seriously needs to think about doing away with it. I mean it doesn't seem to hurt the Domers chances of getting in the playoffs often, why should it anyone else? The SEC crowning a "champion" at the end of the regular season would have the same effect, just zero chance of additional injuries and one team catching an extra loss.

In any case, I think Georgia should get in as the 3rd SEC team if we only get 3, but who knows what the committee is thinking.

Clemson would have been much better off not playing uga. A win over joke state would have them in the playoffs.

We could break the record for co-champions this season.

Seriously, it's what we all used to do before the SECCG broke ground. The conference would go through the tie breakers and select a representative for the bowl game.

How is it our fault that Michigan sucks the year after they won the natty and made multiple CFP appearances in a row? We went there and took care of business and beat them just like Oregon did.

Also, OU has been pretty good for almost 2 decades, then absolutely sucks the year they join the SEC.

Now, we have Ohio State scheduled back-to-back.

I'm not criticizing your schedule. I'm saying that the committee is saying don't even take the chance of scheduling a quality team. Missing the point here. The criticism is not of Texas. It's the committee.

OK, but how about this for a thought experiment? If Clemson had scheduled East Bejeezus State instead of UGA and picked up an easy win, they would almost certainly be ranked ahead of UGA right now despite being average.

That’s the lesson the committee is responsible for.

The committee has yet to do their job.

If they had, Texas would not be ahead of Alabama, Ole Miss, or Georgia.

All the best schools piled into 2 conferences and the remaining conferences are waltzing into the playoffs while we give loses to each other.
