Can’t believe how much of a spineless lying pussy Riley turned out to be. Nobody saw any of that coming.

I think he realized that his coaching along with Notre Dame's peak was that blowout to Alabama in the BCS Championship game. It was verified after losing in the semi-final against Clemson in the Cotton Bowl. ND just doesn't have the players.
If you think about it, he should have left years ago.

He manned the frick up, left ND to take on the SEC West, while Lincoln Riley runs for the hills. Good on him.
Gets an F for common sense…2-18 lifetime vs Top 10…lost to Navy…0-6 in NY6/CFP Bowls…Ooof!

I respect him a lot for how he turned things around after 2016.

Kelly may not have been their first choice, but it's clear LSU ended up with the coach with the bigger set of balls.

When you put it like this, it's hard not to respect the man. Sometimes you gotta up and move right away.

Stop blowing your overrated conference’s horn…
Dabo is 14-3 vs the SEC since 2014 including two Wins over Bama in the NCG so there’s that…try harder.

Another plus for Kelly, he flat out said he wasn't going to recruit Notre Dame commits.
As someone said, if Kelly seems more honorable than you (Riley), you are a sleaze.
All of that said, Kelly isn't a hands on recruiter type coach and kids weren't going to Notre Dame just to play for Kelly. Unfortunately for OU, some big name offensive players chose OU for Riley not the school. So Kelly might not be recruiting Notre Dame commits because that wouldn't be nearly as successful as Riley recruiting OU commits.

One thing seems certain: Kelly is hunting a National Championship.
Gotta respect that

I think if the athletes have the grades to get into Notre Dame, they're smart enough to take advantage of the opportunity to play and go to school there.

LOL...Man, are you serious? Smart was hired same year as Oregon. LSU plays in the same division as Bama so we play them every year. Still, Oregon won a championship in less time than Smart and Richt never won one. Its comical how this season has UGA fans feeling themselves. I was 5 the last time UGA won a championship....I'm 46! The past 3 HC's hired at LSU have won it all. Clearly there's no lack of talent on the bayou. If you need a reminder, watch the NFL on Sundays...seems to be an immense amount of players from LSU...the albatross of a team.
P.S. No doubt UGA looks supremely better than everyone this year, however, its not a done deal until you're holding that hardware.

Not going to lie. Was prepared to downvote but I agree. He is apparently not scared to step up. Good for him.

Dude these coaches already have more money than they and their children could spend in their lifetimes.
This move is 100 percent a competitive coach laying his nuts on the table in pursuit of championships. Its ok to be scared baw

So he’s coming to LSU for the same amount he made at Note Dame? No? Then get out of here with that stupid arse low IQ fake macho bullshite. He wasn’t calling up SEC schools trying to get a job b/c he wants a challenge. LSU threw a bag at him and it was enough to make the move. It’s a move to make more money. End of story. Trying to act like anyone who points out the fricking obvious is scared is flat out pathetic.
