The difference between the Arkansas game is Bama blew the pigs out from the beginning, up 28-7 at one point in the 1st half. Most of the Pigs yards and points came on the last drive of the 1st half and the 2nd half.

A&M didn't put the pigs away until the 4th quarter.

Most of the Pigs yards against A&M came against their starters in a close game, while the pigs yards against Bama came with backups in the game with a huge lead.

SEC , Pac 12, or Big 10?

Mixture of all three. Two biggest factions seem to be split between B1G and SEC with some really stupid people wanting the PAC.

Our receivers are pretty good, and we have the best receiving back in the country

It is the best defense we have had since 2012 at least, and probably the best defense we have had since about 1999-2000.

That's a long line of some bad defense there. I couldn't fathom giving up almost 700 yards in a game. That kind of stuff seems to only happen when a FBS team plays someone like Savannah State.

Thanks. I think they would go with the Big 10 over the SEC, myself. I suspect more fans would like the SEC, but the Big 10 is in higher population states(more tv sets) and are more likely to make money there. OU is probably the only school that can literally join any P5 conference it chooses.

700 yards to Tenn..

See how that transitive property works?

Why are you talking about the transitive property? People are bringing up the Tenn game as evidence of the fact that your defense isn't as good as you think it is.

our defense and team is just as good as Bama

Pts/G: Bama- 15 (#7) / TAMU- 19.2 (#22)
Yds/G: Bama- 274 (#5) / TAMU- 437.5 (#100)

Like I said in another thread, your boys have been good at getting turnovers. But you can't win an SEC championship relying on only turnovers. You have to be objectively good at stopping offenses. And I don't know that you are.

That is why I am appreciating the work Chavis is doing.

Better than giving up 77 points.

So, by using the logic on this board, our defense and team is just as good as Bama

No. Only A&M logic would determine that 491=473.

And if you are comparing A&M to Bama's defense, you are setting the bar at 3rd best.

You're all just scrimmages for Bama until the playoffs.

Yeah we'll be fine no matter what. If/when the BIG XII dissolves, the arms race for super-conferences will gain momentum quickly.

I know this won't fit your narrative

Texas A&M has faced 5 teams from P5 conferences this season.

In those five games, four of the opponents had their highest rushing totals of the season against a P5 foe.

How does that fit your narrative?

It's just discussion.
I think folks here want us to curl into a fetal position and rock back and forth like lunatics all week.
We know we're going to lose.
But don't fault us for trying to find a scintilla of hope ....

You do realize that most of those yards were gained against the 2nd and 3rd string Bama defense, right?

Actually, they were not.
