The only likely blown call in the last minute was the very questionable moving screen call on Alabama that gave Houston the chance to win it at the buzzer in the first place.

Didn't see any trash cans being thrown over that (though maybe only because assistants constrained Nate Oats).

That said, this game was an absolute war between two very good teams. Not only normal but great for college basketball fans that passions were running so high.

This is the reason to schedule actual final four contenders like Houston at real home and away venues instead of only resume building mid-majors in the OOC.

NCAA Rule Book
Under Article 4 of the instant replay rules dictates that, “the officials shall not use such available equipment for judgment calls such as: b. Determine whether basket interference or goaltending occured.”

Why? We are invited to a better bowl game than we deserve and our BB team is undefeated.

Congrats on your Final Four, which is around the last time you beat Bama.

I know our Final Four was pretty recent but no we’ve beat Bama since then. You’ve won a whopping two in a row. Glad we finally got y’all to care about Basketball again though

You sound like a ninnyheaded carpetbagger Yankee racist. No one from the south talks like you.

Why is nobody mentioning that, IF goaltending had been called, it would have been on Houston, who tipped the ball much closer to being over the cylinder than JD did?

I agree. When I first heard about this, I figured Bama was for
Sure handed this game, but after reviewing the rules and seeing the replay I think it was a good no call. If Davidson hadn’t done anything that ball was not going in.l and Bama still wins the game.

Houston needs to go back and review our final four game if they want to see what getting fricked by the refs really looks like, and also how to handle with class when it happens.

If anything the Houston player was guilty of tipping the ball on the rim.

Ball was just barely in the cylinder, but it would have been a missed shot if untouched.

Wrong call, right game outcome.

When the Houston player tipped, certainly.

When Bama touched it, false.
