It was absolutely positively a good non call. Mop head swatted it at the side of the rim and not above the rim.

Please send all controversial plays you want me to analyze Rocky@guru.com

Yeah it’s pretty clear. Some on here either A. Can’t understand the rules after reading them or B. Don’t care about the rules and want what they want.

It's only controversial because of the Houston coaches' reaction to it.

ESPN just said it was goal tending... Houston beats the Tide by 10-15 at their place

Funny because last night they adamantly stated it wasn't.

Almost as if you shouldn't be putting faith into an organization that thrives on creating drama.

From your link, can’t really tell. I get the impression it wasn’t goaltending but would want a better angle.

Did they not at least review it though?

I could tell just fine. It definitely was outside and right of the cylinder.

This is the work I do so you don’t have to.

No.

According to the broadcast, since they didn't call anything live it wasn't a reviewable play.

Key part is "according to the broadcast." I've no idea if that's true or not.

Not that it makes any difference, but which ESPN opinionator spewed that piece of nonsense? Please say it was a female.

Pretty positive you can't replay judgement calls like goal tending. At least that was the reason given back during this same situation when Kentucky and LSU had it happen to them.

Hmm…with that logic, I guess that means we would’ve whupped Gonzaga by 20+ at our place, amirite?

I was at this game. The officials absolutely reviewed it. Why?

This angle clearly shows, although the ball is on a downward trajectory it was outside the cylinder. Just as I saw in the video I posted in the OP but from a much better angle.

You may have to scroll down to the .06 second video.

Just look at Bama’s player actually made contact on the ball on his way down. No way was he over the cylinder.
