I have the opposite take on Leavitt from the majority

His accuracy wasn't great but this kid is a baller. He continued to fight and he continued to march them down the field. They were able to come back and tie the game. To me, he showed he had fight in him. I came away from the game actually more impressed with him than before.

Land, the kid is a baller and I think we eventually get it correct, but Chambliss is the goat. Just let him have the ball last at Florida

he's a gamer. his time missed in spring, and even the week leading up to this game showed in a lot of phases........and y'alls pressure didn't help any either.

He's a good playmaker but he's gets sugar-high which devolves his mechanics resulting in errant throws.
If he returns to LSU he could put it all together next year... but that's not a guarantee because in a decent sample size (3 years of college) this is kind of who he is.

Outside of Trinidad Kiffin’s qb’s are usually turnover prone the first year while they’re figuring out the timing of the offense their second year is when they shine.
You also need to get him a better line and some taller receivers in the portal this year.

He reminds me a bit of dart his first year with us. True he looks a bit more lost at times but definitely fixable. I bet you see a bit of it by the end of the year.

Dude is a gamer for sure. People forget he's coming off a season ending injury from last year where he missed final third of the season, the entire spring, and summer. On top of that he's in a brand new offense with an entire new team. Kiffin will continue to develop him and hes going to get a lot better.

Have to get him to set his feet or get his body squared up if he has to make throws off of one foot. He's rushing everything. IMO, this is why he was always signed as a two year player for us. But, yeah, the kid doesn't quit.

Strictly talking development of the player and not specific to the outcome of the game, but he didn't have spring practice and was rehabbing an injury. I think, as you say, you see a bit of a different player in Novemnber.

He is a playmaker when there is no play and I do appreciate the kids effort but we don't always need that. Stay in the pocket, make the correct read and deliver the ball. He was 16 of 27 for 158 yards. He had 17 carries and only about a third of those were designed runs.

LSU’s #7 would have caught that pass on the goal line.
While I will agree he is a baller, no multiple-FBS transfer QB has led his team to a championship. The only multi-transfer QBs that have done so went FBS-JUCO-FBS.

His accuracy is an issue, and he has an issue with tipped balls, but he's hard to tackle and he can make some really good throws when he has a clear pocket.

He runs his arse off that's for sure. I like that he isn't afraid of contact similar to Dart.

He's a gamer, for sure. No one can doubt Leavitt's physicality. I just don't think he's got the arm to take LSU where LSU expects to go.
