This is the laziest argument of all time. That game was a product of a bunch of things. I thoroughly enjoyed that game, but certainly see why it could have been boring for others. The thing is, that score wasn't normal. Just look at all the other LSU Alabama clashes. Those games almost always get into the 20s.

The score of that game wasn't an indication of how elite defense makes games boring.

oh, so you don't like offenses adapting to bama's defensive schemes? ill call gus and tell him you would like 3 and outs from here on
You know I didn't even hint at anything like this. I'm all for Auburn do everything in their power to royally take it to Alabama. I didn't even call for a rules change, dick.

I just explained that I really enjoyed watching Gus scheme throughout a game while watching Saban and Kirby freak out on the other sideline, attempting to negate what is happening.

This might be an exaggeration or even downright wrong, but I feel as though defensive coaches are having their in game abilities stripped from them. It's been well documented that Alabama needs to be better against these offenses. I'm not looking for an easy fix for Alabama to dominate teams. Just discussing what I see and how I feel.

Can't keep up, so change the rules?

This reminds me of the, "some kids hurt themselves, so let's remove all playgrounds" mentality.

??? It was rules changes that brought all this on.

Exactly. But people will make fun and be assholes to those of us who even want to talk about it though. Low hangin' fruit though...

I think Saban really messed up with the way he approached all of this. He took potentially important topics worth discussing, and came off as having a selfish agenda.

The angle he took has caused this to be completely impossible to talk about.

When the rapture occurs, all offenses will disappear in the blink of an eye and the defenses they left behind will be suffer a great tribulation. That's where this is headed Larry! Keep on preaching brother before all is lost.

Offense is just as much a part of the game as defense. Offenses have evolved to score more points. Maybe defenses should evolve and stop them or else they'll be left behind.

New rules were added. They were installed for more scoring. Not evolved.

Really? I don't enjoy watch 5 schools reap all the talent. shite sucks when you aren't on the winning side, get used to it or change your staff to fit the game.

You want to really make college more competitive? Normalize the talent levels, someone having a better coaching staff than you is your own problem.

We'll be wearing shorts and flags soon. This is actually an accurate assessment of the pussification of the game.

Don't worry change is going to come. What a lot of hunh offenses are doing is unethical, manipulation of a rule change.
You ever wonder why hunh teams claim they only run a small number of plays more than a conventional? I wondered how could this be so. Here is why these hunh teams are racing between plays but sit over the ball while they look to the sidelines for a play they do this keeping the fear of snap if you try sub. The rules were not intended for this, so Gus you fricked up son times are a changin. If not I heard that defenses abuse the fake injury rule without shame.
