I grew up a Kentucky basketball fan...

I expect no sympathy. This team just flat out sucks. Calipari can’t keep attempting to do this with one and done’s. The two successful seasons I consider he’s had were the 2012 National Title team and the 38-1 team. Mainly because players came back for another year to help the young guns.
He’s obviously not gonna get fired, but he’s definitely at the crossroads. He’s a hell of a recruiter, but he isn’t as good as Rick Pitino was as a coach. Pitino could develop talent as good as anyone. The 1996 UK team is still the best I’ve seen.

I’ve lived in Kentucky my whole life. It’s a basketball state so I grew up watching Pitino and UK. The BAMA football comes from my Dad’s side of the family.

IMO this is revisionist history of Pitino in his prime at UK.
He regularly owned Pitino at UofL and broke even at worst at Memphis. I’m pretty sure on the college level the only place Cal has a losing record versus Pitino was at UMass.

You sound like a “concern troll” to be honest. I wish folks would quit with the fake feeling worried about UK basketball. Lord have mercy it’s getting goofy.
