They are ranked purely off brand name at this point.
Conference expansion and imbalance has fricked it up for everyone. Every conference has teams that avoid playing any of their best conference opponents
Its also why Im not fully sold on the ACC being a 1 bid conference. Miami wont make their CCG but likely finishes 10-2. They will have ranked wins over Notre Dame and possibly South Florida. Throw in their brand name and talent composite, are people really sure 10-2 Vandy or 10-2 Ole Miss would get in over them?

Don't care. Only rankings that matter are the ones directly before and after the playoffs.
Dunno why A&M is so bunched up in the arse over rankings right now.

A&M will be ranked ahead because they have no losses . But they have no business being where they are . Luckily they will lose against Mizz and Texas and it will sort itself out .
(and why do you put a space before every period?)

The lower Alabama is ranked the better IMO.

I expect Alabama to be ranked ahead of A&M in the first CFP rankings
That’s because you’re a bama fan.

Their SOS should take a hit (it won’t but it should) for playing LSU and now Auburn with interim head coaches.

That doesn’t appear to be true at all.
Nobody cares.

Not saying that it isn't possible, but we mudholed Mizzou last year with a team far inferior to this one. Also, looking at common opponents, we beat MSST handily while Texas barely made it to OT for the win. Then there's Florida.

Not apples to apples . Miss state and Florida were at home for A&M. Plus Texas plays up and down to their competition . Mizzou last year was at home for you too .

It doesn’t look like A&M fans are the ones starting those dumb posts about rankings. The OP is UGA Alum. I’ve been told that poster is actually a Texas fan who is trolling.

OP has a proven track record of slamming a&m and is a shitty AF poster. HTH.

His takes are also lukewarm at best

Bama got their arse whipped by a 4-4 Florida State team.
First game almost never counts. There is a major difference with the current Bama team compared to the first week Bama team.

Literally the opposite of reality

I expect A&M will be 2 or 3. They'd be higher but for the anti-SEC bias of Committee.
Not too worried about Bama. (or Georgia)- A&M is a better team.

Not when you are comparing them to teams that are undefeated and played an SEC schedule.
None of this stuff matters for now though. Way too much football to play and then everything will reshuffle after the Conference Champ games. Either A&M plays Bama or one of them loses before then. Ohio State and Indiana are also on the same collision course.
As for how strong A&M is I guess we will see.

Which still doesn't explain away a 31 point beating.
