You dense. I'm surprised you can listen to the whole video given your distaste for all things Aggie.

He's upset that these dipshits are spreading a $30M figure, when it isn't even close to that. It probably cost us some recruits like Perkins

A better question would be, why does anyone want to go to “Brokeback Mountain” U.

Now from the outside looking in you don’t see it. But once you are there, people fall in love with A&M for the most part.
So it's a cult? Got it

A very wealthy one, yes.

No surprise. You missed his point. But it’s ok. You misunderstand a lot of things.

It won't be very difficult to determine what businesses were legit, and what sham collectives are formed to buy players.
It was already difficult enough to determine who was cheating when paying players in any form was not allowed. Now with the advent of NIL, it would be next to impossible to do anything about it. You'll just have some business provide documentation that they were paying a recruit NIL money for whatever reason as long as the business was operating legally under their state laws

Only in state P5 school for the Louisiana kids
They play in the SEC
They put a lot of players in the NFL
They have been good for most of these kid's lives
They compete for conference and national championships
Elite facilities
LSU pays them

Exactly. He should have been proud of the situation. We did nothing wrong but took full advantage of the situation and now I understand why some are upset because we have such great support for our program and are a step ahead of everyone else.
But no he went off like he got caught doing something wrong and went off on a defensive rant.

Very wealthy and still not elite. I suppose ya'll are used to that though.
Scientology, now that is an elite cult.

Parents in Texas know this. Yes, recruits are primarily going to school for the NFL opportunities but parents also know if that doesn’t play out they want to have good jobs available.
It would be nice if 18 year old blue chip football recruits actually considered their lives after or without football, but unfortunately that isn't reality for the vast majority of them. They're looking for money now, where they can play the quickest, and who can get them drafted higher in the NFL. Getting hooked up with real world jobs is of little concern to most of them because most of them think they're just going to be NFL stars.

NIL had nothing to do with signing the #1 class, 7-5stars…staff worked really hard, it’s insulting suggest otherwise. Forget that they’ve only signed 8-5stars over the previous 8-9 years combined and only in top 5 twice.
All the legitimate concerns about NIL were proven true by AM.
I don’t believe there should be a “cap” on NIL deals. But I feel changes are coming. It has to be regulated in some capacity. NIL was pushed for current collegiate players, not recruiting. HS recruits should not be eligible for NIL deals and only players that have completed their first season should receive NIL, IMO. Hopefully that change is made.

His meltdown is an indicator of guilt or wrong doing?

Because LSU has won a lot at an elite level and have put players in the league at an elite rate as well. The state also produces a ton of talent, and a lot of kids grow up wanting to play for the only major school in the state.

Agreed.
The "Aggie Network" is always an odd justification for landing top football recruits.
