quote:Yeah, this isn’t some minor incident like getting a DWI or a few grams of weed. This is murder. If they’re intentionally doing something fricked up so they can keep winning basketball games, they need to be shitcanned and worse.
Not only Oats but this is the kind of thing that gets the AD canned too

This kind of answer would come from an Auburn fan who just hired Hugh Freeze.
You assume he supported Freeze while he was the candidate. He is now our coach and we know full well the optics that brought.

In fairness, it was not wise to completely sit on this. It's one thing to wait a few days. The cops would probably prefer it. But once the accused had lawyers and were arraigned, you're not affecting the investigation by making a statement.
The idea that the school was trying to cover up something that was going to come up in the preliminary hearing is nonsensical. At the same time, the school had to know that this would be the huge news out of the prelim. Why wait to let it come out in this manner?
Yeap this is where they really screwed up. If they would have suspended him while investigating, the school could've taken the high road. Now this is going to get very ugly very quick because they set on it. This is recking of a scandal now, Oat's better pray the AD gave him his blessing. If not he's gone.

You’re grandstanding about a woman’s death because you want to witness some SEC athletics drama for your own entertainment
Miss me with your moral platitudes, hero

Not even close. Just POS CEOs that are paid too much money to not be held accountable for terrible behavior from members of their team/program.

You sound like LSU fans before Will Wade got the axe.

Whoa, partner- Hugh Freeze is in no way connected to any form of murderous actions. cool it now.

I don’t know. This is all really awful. A life has been taken and everyone talks about a coach or AD. If it’s proven they knew something and covered it up they should go. Beyond that we have all become so numb to endless street killings. Saddens me. I buried my best friend in my 20s. All I can think about him is what he missed.

Lol more like you hope he doesn't survive this

quote:yeah that's bizarro world. If he wasn't their best player he would have been gone in Jan. That's the hypocrisy in society today. Wall Street bankers, politicians entertainment/sports stars, hell anyone with power/influence live under a different set of rules than the rest of us and we tolerate it. Some even cheer it on if its one of theirs.
You think commission of a crime is the only reason a student athlete or a coach should be disciplined?
