Seems the most likely outcome to me is Bama is pressured to act on Miller but Oats just has to mea culpa for a few weeks.

Sat on what? The reality that Brandon Miller broke no laws?

Hmm yea. That seems likely.

I mean it’s only a dead female that is becoming more clear there was effort to withhold information.

Are you retarded? Dave Bliss didn’t survive this shite 20 years ago…

If Miller tells Myles to come home he’s drunk and I’m not bringing you a gun fool. Is a 5 year old reading a book with his mom right now?

As much as we’ve disagreed. I know you’re actually civilized.

The fact that these people think this isn’t what it is, is absurd to me.

I’m retarded because I don’t think Alabama will fire a good coach because he was callous in his comments?

Are you new to the SEC/Alabama? If they take some half measure the local media will lose interest and you’re left with dudes like Wolken and Forde who will sanctimoniously chatter for months until the public’s eyes glaze over.

I don’t think it will be his comments, but the Fordes of the world have a hard on for him now, They will dig into the program. That might be his undoing.

They know what it is, it’s just that some Bama fans think they’ll be able to skate through it. I highly doubt it now that Miller’s (significant) involvement is public after the coach and school conveniently left those details out when the incident occurred.

Could be, but I think Forde etc. get so zealously obsessed that their credibility typically wanes. But certainly some real investigative journalist could take this up and put Nate in real jeopardy (assuming there is malfeasance there)

You realize someone is dead right?

And a member of your program pulled the trigger? With another member, and your star player, factually providing the weapon?

What reality are you living in right now?

I’m an Auburn alum weirdo

I’d love to see Oats go down for this but your emotional appeal isn’t that compelling until you have the facts about what Oats knew, whether he cooperated, etc. - which you don’t appear to have.

Until then it’s just optics

I imagine a Civil suit will be filed by the victims family against Miller. Might be some discovery stuff that makes Oats, U i’ve rusty and DA look bad. It will,be a wagon circle to settle out of court.

“Optics”.

This kind of answer would come from an Auburn fan who just hired Hugh Freeze.

As things stand today I believe Nate Oats and Miller survive this and forever and we wonder how. The Tuscaloosa PD would have to go down first. And they’re not going to go down.

For sure. Just like 1994 with OJ.

This will just go away. As all things do in 2023.

Ask Chris Beard. Just went away. Just a misunderstanding. Nothing to see here.
