I don't get it... Cam v. Georgia

Last I heard Chizik was adamant that Cam Newton was starting this weekend, and now the entire atmosphere of the board is just as adamant that he'll be suspended for it.
Rumor mill, blatant lies, or legitimate sources?

What is Chizik supposed to say at this point besides that Cam will play? Hell even if he knows Cam won't play, wouldn't you want Georgia preparing for him?

Chizik is going to deny DENY DENY, until his arse is handed to him by the NCAA.
Why wouldnt he?
Why wouldnt he?

I dont know what to believe anymore, and frankly, I am already sick of hearing about it.

Then he's a fricking idiot. If he knows he's in the wrong, he should REALLY try to stop the bleeding now.

Not me! Frankly, I find it quite interesting. I love scandals.

Chizik doesn't know anything about it.
He's in the dark b/c he wants to be in the dark.

Chizik is no more reliable than the rumors at this point.

That's the problem though, I am under the impression that Chizik and the AD might not know about it.

Why would you sit him at this point? He's already played 10 games. If I was Auburn, I'd just throw my finger at the NCAA and everybody else, and go with it. What's the difference in sanctions if he played 10 or 12? You're screwed either way. Just go ahead and play it out.

This. My interest in this is only whether he'll play or not for the rest of the season. Without Cam, Auburn loses to BOTH Georgia and Alabama and LSU makes it to Atlanta with a now legitimate shot at a National Championship.
I could give two shits less about Cam as an individual or Auburn as a program. Just tell me if he's going to play or not.

They don't know about it - they don't want to know about it. They know it goes on, but they don't want to see or hear the sticky details.

From a UGA standpoint, I know we're expecting Cam to try and lock up his heisman on Saturday and all indications are that that's what our guys in practice are preparing for. 3:30 ET this Saturday is going to be a helluva time ain't it boys?

What I read between the lines is that AS OF RIGHT NOW, Cam is playing this weekend.

Exactly.....some of these slimeball coaches go out of their way not to know things. How else do you explain how the QB gets paid off everywhere Jim Tressel has ever been the head coach but he never gets held accountable.

Doing this, as opposed to working with the investigation and being compliant makes a HUGE difference in sanctions.

Because they're not exactly college football's little angels. They might need to stop the bleeding asap.

Here's what I see happening: Newton plays the final two games, goes undefeated, and plays in Atlanta. However, I see voters moving TCU or Boise ahead of Auburn, assuming they finish undefeated. Then, at some point, Auburn gets hammered with sanctions and the college football world feels as if some justice was done in the whole scenario.
