In general I think all athletes and coaches are over paid but I will still watch it so I’m part of the problem also. Winning cures all.

You don’t have to wait. I’ve got no dog in this fight, and I don’t think he is worth it. When you compare the drama he brings against his accomplishments, you are left with a bunch of drama. What exactly has he done to make you believe he is the second coming of Saban? Is he better than Kirby Smart or Ryan Day?

What is humorous is this is exactly what your governor said wouldn’t happen. Why not let Woodward do the negotiating if you are just throwing the house at Kiffin. None of this makes sense, and a lot of money is getting flushed down the toilet.

But it’s not my money. Do what you like, but it seems like an expensive short term fix vs a long term solution.

Verge says he expects the new LSU coach to make the playoffs every year. Why do you not believe him?

You’re reportedly about to pay a guy who owns 68% of his games almost $100 million to do what he has never done before at previous stops in USC, Tennessee, and Ole Miss.

Makes total sense and you should totally go for it as I’m sure it will work out perfectly and you will never regret it ever. Lol

I think all 3 schools involved will realize "he's not worth it" in the near future.

They'll be right, he isn't worth it.

Kirby for sure is....If Florida could hire prime Urban or Bama could hire Saban right now...we would def be okay with him making that much. Success cost a ton now in CFB. But if you are winning and making SEC Title games and winning playoff games you make it back.

To be fair, he’s not worth it.

And I’m saying that BEFORE anyone has hired him.

I've hired and fired a lot of people myself.

You take the best candidate available at the time you are hiring.

And, it's a damn crap shoot.

My key thing is once you find the guy thats getting it done to an acceptable standard.....keep those guys around.

Finding his replacement is a crap shoot, like I said previously.

He has 1 win over a Top 10 team on the road in 6 seasons. He got left on the tarmac at USC. He's not worth it.

Alabama fans really shouldn’t have access to the internet.

He’s 3-1 vs the top 10 since 2023.

The USC thing is so tired. He was 29-15, wasn’t eligible for the postseason the first two years and was down 30 scholarships. And USC has really been cooking since that firing.

Will start it right now. LSU will come to regret giving Lane a guaranteed 7 year $16 million per year contract.

He is too easily distracted into all the trolling on twitter.

He has destroyed good will at OM and setting up to claim to be the victim. He will always say he wanted to stay at OM and finish the deal.

Not really. Alabama has more SEC title game and playoff appearances than anyone and they are middle of the SEC pack in profitability. Texas A&M hasn’t played in a conference championship or playoff game yet they have been one of the most profitable SEC programs.

There seems to be a much stronger correlation between enrollment size/number of alumnus and profitability than there does actual success on the field and profitabiliy. Those numbers on the spread sheet don’t care if the dollars came from contributions or ticket revenue. And the TV money gets split equally.

Bad coaching hires. We got it right this time.

Big mistake hiring Kiffin. LSU just fired Woodward for giving a big contract to a guy who had more skins on the wall than Kiffin.

LSU is doubling down, and this time Verge gets fired. Can't you see Kiffin is toxic? Really glad Aggies didn't even talk to him.
