Meh. She didn't say one way or another. Denton was obviously referring to historically. Semantics I guess.

Big3 doesn't work like that, only way in is to win it all, once in you can never be bumped it, it can be expanded but never subtracted.

Being a mizzou fan, I wouldn't worry about it, Final Fours are too daunting of a task for your inferior program, hell the first round of the tournament has often times proven to be too tough of a feat.

To be fair Semo on the previous page listed Mizzou as one of the Big 3. Now it depends on what your qualifiers are for the Big 3. If we're talking about this season then it's valid.

That's what I was referring to.

And I do believe we're in good shape going forward. I also believe that Mike Anderson is a good coach, but I don't expect Arkansas to get to a Final Four with him at the helm.

Mike Anderson has been to 3 final fours as an assistant coach.

Missouri has never been to the final four.

The most wins ever recorded by a coach at Missouri is 31. That coach is Mike Anderson.

Now that Mike is at a school with a basketball program the sky is the limit.

I stand by my opinion. He's a good coach, but I don't see him getting you there.

Otherwise - poor bait. Try harder.

I tend to disagree. Duke has not shown they can maintain in a post K world and the Gophers are the only 3 peat in college football but nobody thinks of them as a force today. That is what makes elite teams elite in the sense that they are still powerful decades or generations later. Alabama football and Kentucky basketball are in a very different place in both past history and present history.

Below this is a level of good and great programs that can wax and wane over time. Arkansas has had periods of good basketball but they have had some serious valleys in between. Tennessee has a longer expiration level based on their past but if they stay down they will become another Minnesota. Part of the task is getting there but a bigger task is staying there. Missouri could become a force in the future but they are not there yet and they would have to sustain greatness for quite some time to be elite.

I truly believe we will be back in the final four within the next 4 years. Anderson took Mizzou to the elite 8, why wouldn't he be able to do at least that much with Arkansas? The pieces are being put into place. We have another really good recruiting class coming in next year.

As bad as the conference is this season, it was WAY worse in 2009. We would've gotten two teams into the tournament had Mississippi State not won the SECT.

Frank Martin is going to build a major winner at SC and take us back to the Frank McGuire days of the Golden Era of SC basketball.

This guy is intense.

I agree. He was a huge get for you guys. Always liked his Kansas State teams. Question what kind of offense does he run?

Updated after the sunday games :

With the Mississippi win every team in the SEC in now at least .500 for the season. Slive's plan of SEC domination is in play but the men will have to wait at least another year.

Current SEC standings
Georgia 11 - 0 : should remain undefeated heading into conference play
South Carolina 10 - 0 : Plays #1 Stanford this wednesday
Arkansas 9 - 1 : lone loss to ranked Oklahoma but beat ranked Kansas
Kentucky 8 - 1 : lone loss to top ranked Baylor but beat ranked Louisville
Tennessee 7 - 1 : lone loss at UT - Chattanooga but 3 ranked wins vs the ACC and big win vs Texas last night
Missouri 9 - 2 : loss to GB who went deep in last years NCAA and Gophers
Auburn 8 - 2 : losses to SDSU and road loss to NCST
Alabama 6 - 2 : losses to UT - Chattanooga and Wisconsin
Ole Miss 6 - 2 : 3 pt loss @ LaTech is not bad
Florida 8 - 3 : loss at home to Arizona State and road losses to Michigan and Florida State
Vanderbilt 8 - 3 : Loss at undefeated Dayton is acceptable and big win last night @ Oklahoma
Texas A&M 6 - 3 : all 3 losses were to Top 10 Teams - Uconn, Penn State, and Louisville
LSU 6 - 3 : Nice win against a ranked West Virginia team
Mississippi State 5 - 5

It's a ploy so the world won't moan too much when we take UNC.
