Here is what I believe will happen. I think it will be Chad's offense to start out, but Gus will keep a tight leash. A few games in we will start looking like world beaters. Then we will face a defense that shuts us down for a half....leading to Gustavo's mental breakdown where he retakes control of the Offense and we run HB Dive into the back of an OL over and over. Lose 2 games we shouldn't then Gus blames Chad so he can buy himself more time.( I actually don't believe this, but I am saying it because I do not want to say what I really think and hope in fear of jinxing it.)

Gus isn't any good running the offense! Like you said. Then he hires Chad Morris! Wow! I sure hope he knows what he is doing. Oh, wait he does! He wants to get fired so that he can collect what is owed to him!

This!
If I was an Auburn fan, I wouldn’t get too fired up about Morris based his past performance.
Then again, if I were an Auburn fan I’d probably be in psychotherapy or self medicating with weed and alcohol while reciting the “Auburn Creed”.

2-3 bad possessions in a row or one bad loss and Gus is taking over.

Did gus clean up the waffle house menus he had written his 5 plays on and return them?

Anybody disregarding Morris based off his stint as a HC at Arky is disingenuous. He has had some of the most prolific Offenses in the country during his stints at Clemson and SMU. Yes Arky sucked. No they didn't win a conference game, but CM was working with a bare cupboard and what he had was not built for his system. Arky went from Berts Wisconsin ground and pound offense to CM and the personnel are completely different. I think with the weapons at Auburn....if Gustafo can stay out of the way and the OL can gel.....He will be back to being one of the best OCs in the biz.

Most of Chad's assistants that he hired and brought along from SMU were not ready to coach at a P5 school. It's a good thing for Auburn that he won't be doing the hiring.

When Chad left SMU, Sonny Dykes took over and had to rely mostly on transfers, especially for offensive line.

Didn’t we hear this in Fayettnam? Chad Morris is the best maroon pill. He’s going to take down his second SECW team for us. What a great Ag!

You might want to take a look at our OL room then.

Dykes led them to 10 wins last year for the first time since the pony express.

Why we hired Chad over him is going full retard.

The cupboard wasn't bare enough that he lost to Colorado State, North Texas, San Jose State and Western Kentucky.

If you can't win those games then you deserve to get fired.

In fairness Auburn has some very good WRs, Rbs and an up and coming Bo Nix. But, yeah, it's tough to succeed without an excellent OLine. Y'all have recruited pretty well at Guard...the big problem has been OT.

this seems really likely to me and gus isn't the only coach to do this. when orgeron didn't like what canada was doing, he pulled the same stunt and lsu lost to troy
