I'll just be glad when OU and Texas get there and there doesn't need to be "hypothetical" threads like this.
Maybe there will be a bowl match up between one of those two teams and an SEC team.

This is highly subjective and we all know that there is NO transitional property in college football, nor does the eye test work, after all, did anyone expect Auburn who struggled against GSU at home, to go into Death Valley and win?? Likely not. This is largely dependent on location and also ignores rivalries, because no matter what is said below doesn't mean Texas can't beat OU in Dallas
1. Alabama/Georgia beat either
2. Would likely beat Texas: Arkansas/Ole Miss/Florida/Kentucky
3. Can beat Texas: Everyone else but Vandy and SC
4. Can beat OU: Arkansas/Ole Miss/Florida/Auburn
5. Not likely to beat OU: Kentucky, Tennessee, MSU, LSU, South Carolina, Vandy
All that being said, the bottom line is that no one knows right now. I will say though that I don't expect OU to go undefeated unless they solve their O-Line problems. They made some strides in that direction this past weekend on the road, but this weekend will determine a lot.

Oklahoma is waiting around for someone to beat them. They just don't look impressive each week.
I think Texas will be playing better football at the end of the season than OU will. I feel like Texas is improving during the season, while OU is flatlined.
I think either team playing Alabama or Georgia results in a blowout loss. I think Florida, Ole Miss, and Arkansas are capable of beating both of them. I think Kentucky and Auburn could win a game.
The rest of the conference, any win against Texas or OU would have to be considered an upset.

Sooners will beat Bama this year in the CFP . Rationale...Sooners crushed Florida last year when Florida was better than this year and this year when Florida is crappy Florida almost beat Bama...
I expect Sooners would beat Georgia based on Georgia QB plAy.....
As for TexASS IDK...TexASS is better with Thompson at QB and would have beat Arky if Thompson started ...my guess is. TexASS would lose to Bama and Georgia and beat all others in sec with Thompson at QB...
As Far as Rattler he is the Hghest rated QB under pressure by PFF by a huge margin.....

I don't necessarily disagree, OU has not played up to expectations, and I also get the feeling that they are waiting to lose. But I have seen this before, where a team underachieves until a big game before turning the corner, especially this week (for both teams).

I just didn't know if you knew that hardly any of the offense from Florida 2020 team was on the field a few weeks ago when they played Alabama in 2021 since you said it was "that florida team". (let's face it... not even half of the production was there when they played ou in 2020 either)
And I never said Florida losing all their receiving production was ou's fault. ou got lucky with it so you play with the people you got and they play with who they have. ou got their cute little cotton bowl trophy. You lost me when you really thought Florida put out a competitive offensive team though. Vegas at least noticed without bias. Vegas lines do not shift by 11.5 points just because there are a few minor injuries and opt outs for one team. I do appreciate you trying to compare the two situations though. You get an A for effort.

Yeah, its early for that class, how's about we look at 2022 class which has 3 4*OLinemen in it and is not done. Either way I was speaking about this years line, it's talented but young, a previous poster described the issue well.

These are dumb categories. do you think there are any teams that would beat oklahoma but not texas?
I get it OU doesnt look impressive. but texas is pretty comparable to LSU. talent, completely unreliable performance.
every year people forget that texas is a name not a football team. their record the last 10 years is 73-53. for reference, mississippi st's 10 year record is 75-53.
