Awards don't show a quarterback's greatness you asshorn. In case you haven't noticed, AJ has won 2 championships and 1 SEC off the strength of his arm and command of the team. What individual awards does he have? Zero.

If Barkley would have been studying a playbook instead of doing blow and smashing SoCal trim JFF wouldn't have gotten the press he did.

You make a good point, in a way. Manziel is tremendous but I've read recent statements where he seems to refer to himself in the 3rd person, as if 'JFF' is an alternate entity. It'll be interesting to see if fame has had an adverse effect.

I liked the part where he said there's never been a player like him in football.

Vick, Newton and Manziel are the only three with this good a pass/run combo from the QB position. Very few truly fast, agile runners are also very good pocket passers.

Tebow had good passing numbers in college.

Tebow wasnt a fast, agile runner. He was a bulldozer. Manziel is a completely different kind of threat in the open field.

That's awesome. I'm glad he has enough great teammates around him to make up for the fact that he isn't a great qb.

If AJ were on the roster at A&M he would be 2nd string at best. I just don't think he is on the same level as JFF. I'll be sure to bring him some tissues on Sept 14th.

10 to 1 TD to INT ratio.

10 to 1.

That's not great? Don't start with the OL stuff, our OL vastly underperformed in pass pro. Yeah when they clicked at times he had plenty of time, but more often than not, he had just as much time as the other top pocket passers.

Where did all the INTs come from? I thought he had some big streak or something before we played?

Georgia had one.

He had two against A&M.

On the first one he didn't see the Robber, but that doesn't change the fact that Kenny Bell has no good excuse to not catch the ball when it hits him right in the numbers. Not AJ's fault.

The second, well Cooper didn't pick his man, but either way AJ shouldn't have thrown it. That's on AJ.

Manzy has to play a lot more football before he is in the same class with Vick and Newton. The latter are atheletic specimen extrodinaire-

Sorry man, but awards are not the measuring stick for greatness. See Teo.

Stop JFF from running around the outside. Make him a between the tackles runner and you stop the A&M little longhorn's offense. Done.

So were we. I swore he'd be our starter last year

His name is Jameill Showers. Throws a beautiful ball. He's playing for UTEP this year (graduated and transferred a la Russell Wilson).

He ought to go to South Bend

Must have been Third Person Thursday. Motengator, always refers to himself in the third person, on Third Person Thursday. It's not unlike "Monotone Monday's", "Two for Tuesday Two for Tuesday's" or "Pirate Friday's". They ARRGGHHH the best days of the week.
