LUSers not just crying over schedules already, they are by inference crying over the "SEC Office in Birmingham" that "sets schedules and bye weeks."

Here is the perfect non-biased SEC schedule according to LSU fans.
(1) Vanderbilt,
(2) Arkansas (unless they are good, must play them before it gets cold);
(3) Kentucky (only if they are having a tough season;
(4) Ole Miss (only while they are on probation);
(5) Miss State (unless they have a Dak on the roster);
(6) Missouri (must see if they are good first);
(7) South Carolina (only if there is a hurricane and can get the game played at LSU at night) (8) Tennessee (unless they are showing signs of developing.)

Freaking cry babies and little melters.

Except that LSU never plays Vanderbilt, Missouri, South Carolina, and Kentucky.

Haven't played Vanderbilt in 5 years. Missouri only once since they joined the SEC. Haven't played South Carolina since 2013. Haven't played in Lexington against Kentucky since 2007 !!!

The concept is not all that radical. They are supposed to be rotating 1 of the opponents. The set rival opponent is garbage. Teams would know they have home game 1st week of October and would know away game for October 3rd at end of previous season.

Its a much better deal for all schools and would really benefit teams like Kentucky and Vandy.

This is exactly my point. You said it would eliminate bias.

You could even play big opening week games still out of conference. You will have games in October to setup frontrunners and November stretch run to win your division.

alabama has not played georgia in regular season since blackout game. Or florida recently. That bias of getting a lower seeded opponent every year would be eliminated.

That would never happen. What are they going to put on tv?

Maybe spread byes over middle two weeks in October. Bookend first and last week for extra divisional. 2 september division games. 4 in november.

The third week of November before rivalry week was the worst week of SEC football in the history of the league. All cupcakes for every team. Terrible for TV and competition. Everything should build to November endings.

.
So you want to fix it so we play twice a year, and maybe three times? yeah. that sounds unbiased and fair.

I mean, LSU fans are still screaming over playing Alabama twice in 2011, but you think it is perfectly reasonable for UGA and Alabama to play 2-3 times in a season.

Incorrect. Played them 3 years ago.

Correct. But you have played them recently. 2011 and 2014.

Wrong. Played them 2015. Play them again 2020.

Or florida recently.

2010, 2011, 2014.

This thread is so full of facts.

Kick Bama out the conference for being too good.

SEC championship rematches happen all the time. There would be only 1 team at the end in playoff.
