Bama would play UGA and Fla next year.

UGA would play Bama and TAMU.

I was altering to put top in 1 plays bottom in other.

But to use your thinking: UGA/Ala. would have been 2 consecutive (so far) games.

Okay then, HOW do you determine who is H for any given year?

This prevents 1w from playing 6e and 7e the same year 2w plays 1e and 2e. That bias is removed from scheduling.

i explained that 1 week west would home and east would have it the next week. Then switch each year.

A team could have an SEC champ rematch but only one team survives to go to playoffs.

So you want teams to tank at the end of the season to get an easier schedule?

The idea would be for extra divisional SEC games would no longer decide divisional champions. Division games have more influence. So an SC, Kent, Vandy could beat division foes and not be crippled by west teams. And vice versa.

They could but the fans wouldnt like it and dudes would get fired. only gets you 2 easier games. still gotta win divisional games.

But you said it's based on previous years' standings. We know who are usually the better & worse teams. So, as I stated before, creating a schedule from that will either create 2 teams playing more frequently than other schools...or it will increase the gap of 2 teams playing.
A rotation says "Teams X & Y WILL MEET EVERY ______ years" & you can put that game on future calendars. Your way waits until the season is done to decide the following season.

& if people are complaining about who plays who now...what do you think your idea will do on that topic?

Well there is only 1 team winning all their games right now. The rest usually lose 1 or 2 and not necessarily division games. It would give division games between 3w 4w 5w 6w added meaning.

Teams would have a better chance of not getting stuck in the cellar of the SEC and divisional games would be wars.

Much better bowl destinations at the bottom.

Nah, silly. Let's just undo the last 2 expansions, 9 conference games.

Its a much better deal for all schools and would really benefit teams like Kentucky and Vandy. Potentially give them a chance at new years bowls. They currently have no chance of that if they play bama/lsu/auburn/tamu each year.

frick that. If we can't beat an upper tier West team, we were never going to an NY6 bowl anyway. And I sure as hell don't want our cross-divisional to exclude the top half of the West by default. What a chickenshit proposal. We want to go to a better bowl so let's make an effort to avoid having to play Bama/LSU/Auburn/TAMU? It would be a bitch move in every sense of the word.

well thats why you never go and probably never will. SEC East team can win all there divisional games and lose to Bama and LSU and have shite to show for a great season. Its dumb. The Georgia sneaks in and acts like they are Alabama or something. its absurd.

Florida almost backdoored in with a loss to Kentucky this year. East was almost decided by which team beat LSU.

Do you realize how insulting it is to suggest we should get a pity schedule to help guarantee we succeed? If we wanted easy wins to bolster our self-esteem, we'd just fricking join UCF in the AAC. We play in the SEC and we take our lumps like men. I'd rather finish dead last every season than be given special concessions to help us succeed on an uneven playing field. We don't want participation medals. I have no interest in seeing us go to an Asterisk NY6 bowl, and nobody with any self-respect should want to, or even suggest the idea in the first place. If we can't clean up with our East schedule and beat, say, an Ed O team, we have no business playing on New Year's.

Incidentally, when did you start watching SEC football? Last week or this week? Because UK was legitimately in contention for an NY6 bowl during this season, and we recently had at least two seasons where we could say the same under Franklin.

Guess Alabama losing to Aub. & not making the SECCG last year was a positive?

But when others have good seasons, "it's absurd".

Gotcha!

the last time you played two top 10 SEC teams October your coach was named Mike.

So now it's two top ten SEC teams in October, is it??

This is what you said:

"I think Johnny Football game at Tuscaloosa was the last October SEC game Alabama had that was competitive. "

What a stupid fricking remark. Seriously.

Everyone on this board...especially Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Tennessee fans...knew that was a clueless remark. Just admit it...you were exposed as not knowing shite about what you were talking about, then decided to backtrack to save face. Probably needed a little help from Google.
