The 2B couldn’t find the ball

There wasn’t anyone within 30 feet when the ball hit the ground. That isn’t bad baseball. This is just bad luck. Simple as that.

1) The pitcher did his job and got a pop out against a guy who had already hit 3 home runs this weekend. He should have been pumped.

2) The CF and RF both play great defense. Combined, they made one error all year and it was a throwing error. 246 caught fly balls.

3) This wasn’t an error or anywhere close to an error.

Conclusion: Y’all are idiots.

back in 90's we were actually taught to point in the direction of the ball to help the fielders locate it.
but more and more today, they just point straight up, which other than looking cool, accomplishes nothing.
