Very true. But we didn’t schedule them at their place and lose a home game.

LSU plays the murderer's row of Central Michgan, McNeese St and LA-Monroe this year. Are those the teams that SEC giants play? Just from memory, Troy, Citadel and VMI et al seem to be favorite cupcakes for some SEC teams. The SEC does have a deserved rep of playing an awful lot of glorified scrimmages.

We’re any of those at their place?

Do people still buy this line of thinking?

Hopefully the mayor allows fans, but NOLA will probably be under a strict lockdown by then.

Exactly. And if Troy wants another pay check they’ll have to come back. The SEC isn’t a conference for poors.

OU does a 2 for 1 series with a lot of smaller teams.

We hosted Tulane in 2017 and we host them again in 2024.
I'm probably one of the few that would like to see more of that. I think it'd be good for college football. With that said, the latest conference shifting will most certainly mean those days are further in the past.

Bro, it doesn’t happen, Bama is the only one to pull a top recruit from Louisiana, the last high rated guy we got was Speedy Noil, we hired the same CB coach the sips have right now with the pipe dream of recruiting Louisiana well, again, hardly happens outside of Bama, we now seem to do more work in Florida and the NE

I don’t know how OU going and playing a game in Louisiana that recruits can come to can’t help at least a little. We have had some really good players come from there and I would think they would like to add more of them.

And two short weeks later, #10 Auburn blew a 20 point lead and lost to a team that lost to Troy at home.

It’s Labor Day weekend. A visiting fan base traveling to Nola on Labor Day weekend probably sounds like a fun time. Easy game, French quarter. Maybe some restrictions eased.

It’s not like Bama has never done this.

Absolutely. Should be a fun time. Been there twice and had two excellent times. Wasn’t Tulane an SEC school before? Why did they leave or what’s the story on that?

You're right. We all thought it was 'unusual' but scheduling conflicts can result in off-the-wall pairings. Either way it's a scrimmage albeit on the road - which might be worthwhile.
