Look at you putting words in my mouth. Why are you so upset that I think UGA shouldn’t have lost at all?

Talk about putting words in someone’s mouth. I’m far from upset man. Just pointing out that it cuts both ways.

Well for one I never said they underachieved. I just said I think they should not have lost at all. I don’t really know what past Alabama has to do with that but ok

Tons of players missing in the first game. When Alabama's injuries matched ours we flipped the score.

Alabama was already missing tons of players in the 1st game. Chris Allen and Malachi Moore were the 2 best defensive players after Will Anderson on Bama 2020 Championship team. Neither played in the 1st game. Bama lost 3 RBs to season ending injuries and was converting players from LB and WR. Offensive line was a mash unit.

Losing top 2 playmakers at Wr and 2 starting corners were too many additional players to overcome.

this is hilarious. You act like every team isn't banged up by December. Were you aware we lost our starting RG in the fisrt game of the year? Or that our best WR wasn't even able to play until November and even then was seriously limited? How bout kendall milton one of our 5* RBs beign gimpy the whole 2nd half of the year? Everyone is hurt. To cite it as an excuse for losing is just chickenshit and what low rent programs like auburn do.

Alabama, with the most titles ever and the best coach even in the midst of hte best dyansty ever, blaming injuries is just mind numbingly insecure.

Maybe one day Bama will recruit well enough to have depth.

It’s just really hard to fathom how Nick Saban failed so spectacularly in recruiting and developing depth that his team is entirely dependent on 3-4 players.

This is the key point.

Bama apologists are pointing to injuries to two key players in particular and saying that's why they lost, as if they aren't at least 3-deep with 4* and 5* players at every position. They hire the best coaches and are able to recruit the best players year over year, and then complain that they had a few injuries (one of which they had a month to game plan around) that cost them the game? No, that's unacceptable.

The fact of the matter is that, in the SECCG, Bama played their best game of the season while UGA played their worst game of the season. The UGA defensive game plan was terrible and they went away from what they did best all season. UGA went back to its winning strategy in round #2 and it paid off. We were able to get pressure on Young for much of the night, especially in the 2nd half, and he was rattled and made some bad throws on key downs, leaving points on the board by settling for FGs.

It must be said again: in 2017 and 2018, Bama opted to remove their starting QBs against us and subbed in the backups, and that was the key to the game both times. Their backups were able to make the difference. It seems their backups weren't as prepared to step up on the biggest stage this time around.

You realize we were missing a 1st rnd edge rusher (Adam Anderson) Arian Smith (fastest WR) Kendall Milton (5* RB) Tykee Smith (All-American DB) Dominick Blaylock (high 4* WR)
Tate Ratledge (Startin OG) Jalen Kimber (DB) all missed the game and George Pickens (5* WR was on play count) and Jamaree Salyer (5* OLiinman limited)

But yeah. Alabama was the only team with any injuries.

He was our starter, but he got hurt, so we used his backup all season long. Be thankful Bama didnt have to use their backup all season long. Yall didnt have a guy ready to go like UGA did.

I guess that's why he transferred, because he was the starter.

Bama fans should be glad he transferred.

You saw what Georgia did to the Gumps with Bennett.

With Daniels it would've been worse than even 44-16.

Probably would've been 55-14.

The one who didn't transfer was the starter.

It's an empty win though. He didn't beat the same team that blew him out.

Bama also didn't face the same defensive scheme in Indy that they did in Atlanta. We attacked in Round 2 versus sitting back in Round 1.

Should Alabama have lost to Texas A&M? Sometimes flukes happen. Thing is, we won when it counted. Alabama did not.

Stop confusing a transfer for 2022 with an injury from 2021.

Be thankful for all of the uga injuries last year. Imagine what our starters would have done.
