No, like dabo. Alabama struggled with a lot of teams last year. They went to 4 OT with fricking Auburn lol. I don’t know why y’all think Alabama having a few good individual players makes you think that Alabama didn’t overachieve last year.

holy frick that team underachieved based on the talent they had.

They “underachieved” once in 15 games.

The team allowed 41 points in the SEC title game and no more than 18 the rest of their national championship season. Bama was too dependent on 2 players and did not have any quality WR depth - that wasn’t Georgia’s fault.

Yes. This.

best OL

Did you even watch Bama last year? The OL was terrible. And it’s kid of obvious you don’t actually watch football, but OL is pretty important

Evan Neal was the best OL in the SEC. I was naming individuals.

Oh, sorry. We’ll back to my original point, I don’t know why y’all think Alabama having some good individual players doesn’t mean they didn’t overachieve. All you had to do was just actually watch the games

Because they didn’t. Bama shouldn’t lose to ATM, ever. You shouldn’t struggle with a bad UF team or AU. That’s based on the amount of talent you have over those teams. You scraped by, not overachieved.

This thread, basically:

Bama fans: Alabama wasn’t very good last year. UGA looked much better all season.

UGA fans: lol, hur dur, you’re wrong you idiot! UGA had a better season, and Bama sucked!

Just the twilight zone of threads

It’s because the entire premise of the thread is retarded.

“How did UGA lose to one of the most talented teams in the country, coached by the GOAT, who was in a win or go home situation?”

The honest answer:

Saban is the Goat and them Bama players are pretty good.

Does the SEC have 2 playoff teams if we don’t? There is your answer

I'm pretty sure if that were the case, you would have lost by much less than 17 points.

Yet they did

So they barely scraped by, but didn’t overachieve by getting to the national championship. Got it.

Bama underachieved last year. They were fortunate they didnt have to switch to a backup QB and also have their best WR out almost all season long.

Bama lost 300 yards and 3 TDs in production from the previous game. It wasn't just "some" injuries it was 2 of the 4 best players in the game.Players UGA had zero answers for. They also lost two starting CBs, but enjoy that hollow win.

UGA had a great team, but was exposed and took advantage of the Bama misfortune when the opportunity presented itself.

We all saw what happened to that defense when they had to face a legit QB and legit weapons on the outside.

They gave up 500+ yards and got dog walked.

All of this once again ignores all of the setbacks UGA had for 2021. Bama would have probably gone 8-4 if they suffered the same set backs that UGA did.

Ultimately Saban is a better coach. You wouldn't think due to Saban being older, but Saban is more adaptable to changes in the game.

It's Kirby who will always be stuck with a 1987 offense and a pedestrian quarterback.
He needs a generational defense and stars to align to even be .500 against Saban in a season.

1-1 in 2021 is the best Kirby will ever do against Saban.

Outside of Anderson who didn't have tremendous production UGA lost not one player of any consequence.
