How soon we know if it will be 4 Pods or 2 Divisions?

Two divisions make more sense and play 10 or 11 SEC games. Why not?! More money and get to get more payouts and more fans to watch the games and not be disappointed. I know it will be grueling schedule but it will be worth it. Play seven teams in division, three or four crossovers. That will be good to rotate more often.

This is the right answer if everyone can be happy with only 3 perm games.. with no pods. They don’t work with only 3 perm games.

Pods will work if you go to 5 perm games..
Pod: 3 games
Perm: 2 games
Rotation: 4 games

This takes 5 years complete a cycle home & away, but it might be the best option.

With a 9 game schedule, 3 perm (no pods) or 5 perm (with or without pods) are the only solutions that work in a 4 or 5 year cycle.

Pods and NO Perms from out-of-pod. That way you play every SEC team twice in a 4-year span. This is the ONLY fair way to do it.

I'm thinking something similar. If you have pods, no need for perms.

Also, pods should be geographical and in state priority.

So:

West
OU
Texas
AM
Mizzou

West Central
LSU
Arky
Ole
Ms St

East Central
Bama
Aub
Vandy
Ten

East
Florida
Georgia
So Car
Kentucky

As soon as ESPN/Disney gets their shite finalized. We have to wait for them. They own us now.

You would have to have one less ooc game in case you win your pod and have to play the winner of the other pod to play for the sec championship

You can’t have pods and play these 4 games every year.
1) AL AU
2) AL TN
3) AU UG
4) UG UF

It simply isn’t possible unless you add 1-2 permanent games outside of the pod.

Traditions are dying left and right. With money to be made, more will die.

Biggest rivalries to protect
1) Bama-Auburn
2) Florida-Georgia
3) Auburn-Georgia

If we can hold those then the rest of the teams can be slotted based on balance of power/branding for fairness.

I'm going to assume enough tiebreakers would be in place to cover all scenarios so that the two best pod champs make it.

OR

Have a mini SEC four team playoff. Two more games for the conference to monetize!

I think there’s going to be some recent rivalries that will just die with this for us. LSU/Florida for one. LSU/Bama is going to die too. Not competitive lately obviously, but a heavily watched game nonetheless.

Unless we consistently win our pod and play them in an inevitable SEC playoff. It’s coming.

Better rethink.

That is the oldest rivalry of all. It is extremely important to both schools. It will not be going anywhere.

& eliminate rivalries (like DSOR) to every OTHER year. No thanks.

You can with my plan (& keep other "must play yearly" games).

My plan doesn't need tie-breakers & instantly sorts the conference into 2 groups to give you the SECCG contestants.
