Could teach LSU players a thing or 2

1. Stay your senior year. One of your teammates could go down with an injury allowing you to rack up big stats

2. Get a season ending injury, potentially career ending, and draft stock plummets costing you $$$.

First sentence in OP

quote:

When trevor Laurence wins the Heisman

quote:

I said they should be mad ,if that were to happen

You are embarrassingly stupid.

Smitty (tossup but probably the favorite)
Jones (tossup)
Harris (outside chance)
Trask (outside chance)

They already released the top four. harris finished fifth. That's all we know for sure.

My guess is mac first ,smith,Lawrence, trask.

But lately people seem to think Lawrence has a chance ,thought that was crazy. That's why I started the thread. Then I get hate from bama fans and I absolutely meant nothing negative towards them or the players.

This place is so crazy now . Everybody gets attacked for nothing

It’s a discussion board. OP has opinion and wants to know what Bama fans think/ feel about it,

Nothing wrong with it.

When trevor Laurence wins the Heisman based on his career instead of the best player this year

With Covid & racial injustice occupying all the
attention this year and both intertwining
with sports and all the touchy-feely sensitivities
involved, it would not at all surprise me
if Lawrence is given the Heisman as a poster child
for both Covid & injustice demands:
He missed Clemson's only loss due to Covid, thus
heightening his importance when he was back to beat Notre Dame and he came out early as
a supporter/tweeter for Black Lives Matter.
Would he deserve it based on the Heisman criteria ?
No, but I just have this feeling the committee
might at least give consideration to a politically correct selection this year.

It would be very interesting to see a 3rd team AP All American at his position for a given year win the Heisman.

I mean, hes not gonna win it, it's just kinda wild to think about. But this morning I was listening to a guy say that he was told that people were voting him 1st

But that's something impossible to take seriously, I think. Theres just too many voters to gain any kind of knowledge that means anything

Sunshine only made the AP All America 3rd Team. He’s had three good years and this past one was his worst. This award is a lot of baloney anyway and I’m like other Bama posters, IDGAF, I just want Bama to win the NC.

I am more worried that Trevor Lawrence might turn out to be Buffalo Bill. Don’t act like you don’t see it.

Alabama went 100 years and 12 national championships without a Heisman winner. We don’t live or did by that crap like lesser teams.

Furthermore Heisman ceased to have much importance when Payton Manning was screwed out of it by an organized ESPN campaign.

They should lose there vote if so.

He is a phenomenal talent, but he did not have a phenomenal statistical year with or without accounting for his 2 missed games.

He is outside of the top 10 for QB efficiency ratings and YPG and trails both Trask and Jones in every major QB passing statistical category.

Not every Alabama fan is like those guys for what it’s worth. It can be difficult sometimes to have meaningful discussion here due to so many on edge thinking everything is trolling.

I do think it would be silly if Lawrence won simply due to a lifetime achievement award. He did well against ND, but overall he really hasn’t been elite this season statistically. He is still super talented, and I’ll be terrified if we play Clemson, but I don’t think to this point this season he has played at a Heisman level.
