There sure as shite is if the 19 year old has been in HS the last four years and the 25 year old has been in some combination of college, semi pro, and professional training
Oh well, get good. There are plenty of examples of freshmen dog walking older more established players.

These guys are getting paid now too. So my empathy for a 18-19 year old making 500 grand a year to play football is less than 0 when he is knocked around by someone more established than him

Not going to be very many 18 year olds getting paid if 25 year olds are an option.

All these “good” 25 year olds were once “not good” 18 years olds who are now attempting to pull the ladder up behind them.

IMO, the NFL would actually be forced to step in if college football eligibility limits are blown away. The NFL needs high potential 18 year olds to have a college entry point in order to maintain the league’s talent level.

You don't think there is a significant difference between someone who has been in a college/pro weight training/conditioning program for 5-6 years compared to someone just entering one?

You seen it when Indiana played against us and Oregon. The reason Miami gave them a game because most of their team was mid 20's too.

You're way smarter than this shite.

You're wrong on the physical gap alone. Nevermind that you're certainly wrong for discounting the gap in maturity and the sheer ability for 26 year olds to be more freed up as most hard classes are done.

1958 Alabama Football Roster coached by Bear Bryant. Features a 25 year old, and a couple of 24 year olds.

How much of a pussy do you have to be to demand that you are allowed to play any sport against kids?

Its about the money. End of story. They can go play in a some Euro league for pennies or they can play college Bball for a decent chunk of change while also getting more exposure than they would in Europe and potentially a better shot at the NBA.

I still hate it but its not because they want to beat up on children, they just want the money and exposure.

Actually saw a couple of Miama freshmen players the "old" guys at Indiana wanted no part of in the CG.

This.

And this is what everyone wanted when they said NIL and TP. So frick you all. You all bitched and moaned when Bama (and later Georgia and Ohio State) was kicking everyone's asses. You're getting what you asked for.

Also, who are these "kids" ... you're a grown arse man when you join the Marine Corps even at 18. This whole argument is moot as frick.

One year was COVID so everyone got an extra eligible year. He spent another year in JUCO which also does not count against eligibility. He also redshirted another year when he was a walk-on at UGA.

He played by the rules the NCAA laid down, and didn't have to sue anyone for extra years.
