LSU has millions of reasons to give Kelly more time.

He’s safe as long as he can keep selling next year’s hope. Once LSU realizes next year will be the same as last year, he gone.

NIL makes the routine firing of coaches unless they do something really really stupid kind of obsolete.

If the backers of the programs invest lots of money to pay 5 * recruits, then you have a talent imbalance on the field. You can't hold the coach responsible for that if you aren't willing to pay to get the star players.

So that said I believe that Kelly is a very solid coach and is one of the winningest active head coaches today. He has avoided scandal and has represented the university well at all times. He has a core set of ethics that are evident in what we do as a program.

I don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon, which is fine with me.

I don't think Kelly stays length of contract and that has more to do with the current climate of college football he's doing fine with the roster he inherited

You are a fundamental dumbass troll.

That's basically true of any coach.

As Notre Dame head coach, in 2010 the Declan Sullivan death occurred. The state of Indiana found Notre Dame guilty of six violations. As Notre Dame head coach and under his watch, the football program was forced to vacate all wins from 2012 and 2013. As Notre Dame head coach, Brian Kelly and Notre Dame were sued in 2017 by former player Doug Randolph for knowingly withholding medical information and playing him despite them knowing that he was physically unable and doing so could result in permanent spinal injury.

As LSU coach, in 2025 former player Greg Brooks sued the school arguing they were neglectful and slow in providing health care.

No, Brian Kelly has a left a few messes in his wake.

This was a pure money grab by Brook’s family and anyone with a brain should easily understand that.

Feel really bad for Brooks. My father died of a brain tumor, but my family didn’t blame his employer, nor sue them for mis-diagnosis. If you get one, you get one. There isn’t a damn thing anyone could have done to stop you from getting one. It was always going to end Brook’s football career regardless of how it played out.

You have to overlook captdalton.

He's relatively trashy and likes to celebrate sickness and death when it happens to LSU folks, he'll also stretch the truth to fit his trashy narratives and then project that behavior upon others.

Similar to AHM21 and SideTaint, just really trashy people, likely IRL.

He's not on the hot seat but he better not to lose to THREE unranked teams in 2025 again like he did in 2024.

I don’t know how valid any of the lawsuits are. But in the last 15 seasons Kelly and/or the school and football program he has been head coach of were sued three times; twice by former players and once by the state of Indiana, and he has two seasons where all wins were vacated.

I was just responding to the poster who said Kelly has no scandals. No, he has some dirty laundry and skeletons. Maybe he has learned from them and there will be no more.

Les Miles - 77% Winning Percentage (2 SEC Championships, 1 National Championship) - Fired

Ed Orgeron - 72% Winning Percentage (1 SEC Championship, 1 National Championship) - Fired

Brian Kelly - 73% Winning Percentage (0 and 0 so far)

You have shown us where the saying "Figures lie and Liars figure..." comes from.

Les was consistently on top of the game from 2006-2011. After that he refused to update his game philosophy and was in a slow consistent death spiral as contenders go because he could not recruit well enough anymore. Recruits did not want to play in his dinosaur offense. His last 4-5 yrs were all worse than the previous yr. Les' offensive philosophy is summed up in his qoute "three things happen when you pass the ball and two of them are bad."

CEO built a NC team of epic proportions in 3 yrs. His Coordinators got their career rewards and left for new jobs. He crashed and burned in grand style with a big busted blonde on both arms. Ed's parting words of wisdom... "you are going to pay me to leave? Just tell me when and what door to leave through..."

BK... lets face it, he is a pretty darn good coach but these times are uncharted waters with the Portal and NIL. He already miscalculated that last season but he did not this year. Better stats look like this for BK:

Brian Kelly - 73% Winning Percentage (1 SECCG appearence and 1 Heisman so far)
