Failing? It is you. I gave you the standard to go by. Your own school. Show me a picture that has a sea of shakers incessantly doing whatever shakers do (I guess shaking but I am not sure - you're an Aubie so you should know) at Tiger Stadium. Not a close up of a handful of students or the away section at another stadium. The entire stadium.
Again, the fact that you have no clue what we do for each song over each down shows me you have no clue what happens in Tiger Stadium. The shakers cannot be tied into it.

Yeah, let me know how that Google search goes for Auburn shakers and then LSU shakers.

Yeah, I am the idiot. You build your case off of a few instances (gimmicks) where they were brought out for a few games. One game shows the stadium with the yellow shakers. I would guess it was for Ole Miss and homecoming. Hardly a convincing argument.
Then you show pics from BamaChick at the LSU (gasp) away game for Bama with a few fans.

what is the big deal about having shakers at games?
they are multi-functional.
shakers make the stadium look cool in overhead pics.
if the person in front of you at the game is annoying, you can accidentally poke them with your shaker.
if the tab breaks off on your canned beverage during tailgating, you can use the stick to open the can.
put two or three shakers together, tape some minis up in in them, tape some shaker strands around the minis, stick the shakers in your back pocket & you have a great way to get alcohol in the stadium.
they make great drink stirrers.
shakers are the leatherman for college gameday

FWIW I have no issues with shakers. Better that than waiving a towel around your head like some awful yankee NFL stadium.
