they passed out gold towels in 2012. i can't remember the last time pom poms were handed out. i know it's happened in the past but i feel like it's been quite awhile. last time i actually remember gold pom poms was in the late 90s

Tennessee has pom poms on the seats in the student section for every home game, have for years

like i said, lsu passed out gold towels for the alabama game in 2012. they used to pass out gold pom poms for the "gold game" in the mid to late 90s but i can't remember, off hand, the last time pom poms were passed out. maybe at a bowl game

I went to Bama in 2011..we were late to the tailgate since one of the Gumps we were with couldn't find his "lucky pom pom"..you would've thought he had lost his phone or wallet the way he was freaking out

I was at that game in the uppers...no shakers there, they were likely placed in our lower level section by LSU. I know when the "bus trip" games occur, they are given in the swag bags with a sponsor's logo on the handle.
