With the announcement today of Pete Carroll taking the Raiders job at 73 years old, and Bill Belichick coaching again at 72.

Does Saban eventually get the itch and gives it another go as well?

Saban will turn to dust first. He’s just a washed old man now

In all seriousness, when he 'retired' I thought he might be on a rules committee or advisory group of some sort that tried to lobby and fix this mess before it got out of hand, because he's been warning about the inevitability of it ruining the sport for years.

Although now I believe that ship has sailed.

I don't think he will take another coaching job. His legacy is cemented.

Funny, I was just discussing this with a family member last week. I think he'll take a job somewhere next year.

Men who were born after UTk last won a conference championship have been ineligible for the US military draft for more than 2 years.

Stop using common sense.

He's obviously going to pull a Jordan and come back to Alabama in 2 years to rip off another 6 National Championships.

Why? Now, he's loved by everyone. And no matter what he says, he's just out and out brilliant.

The guy has made a bigger comeback than Trump.

Wouldn't surprise me, but he won't want a rebuild. He'll want to go somewhere that already has some talent, but needs to fire a shitty coach.

Honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him at LSU in a year or two, unless Kelly's recruiting turns to shite, too.

He’s got too many other business ventures to keep him busy. I think that’s part of the reason he fell off a tad toward the end. Too many distractions.

I think NIL and the portal drove him out of coaching, as it will drive out CFB coaches before they normally would. I expect to see more CFB coaches (especially position coaches) headed for the NFL rather than stay in CFB. Shorter hours and comparable money.
