Kind of like football. We generally play #1 Bama right before post season and in this case we played #1 Arkansas and did not look great and did not rebound vs Ole miss. We would win a handful of the regionals but the NCAA is trying to spread the wealth instead of play the best teams

It was the best post of the day and went right over everyone's noggin. They should have joined in on our baseball threads more often. I am surprised Drewbie didn't pick up on it or some of the other Arkansas, Tennessee or State fans.

31-25 record did not help. Two losses to Georgia Tech did not help. SOS was good. RPI was solid.
But somewhere along the way you have to win games. 31-25 just not quite there.
I know they had some unfortunate injuries to their pitching staff as well.
But at the end of the day as Al Davis would say “just win baby.” They did not win enough.

I’m sure if their coach announced he was retiring, they would have gotten in. Seems to be the ticket to get in whenever it’s not deserved.
