However I could be way off mark with that.

About the only rational thing you've ever said on here.

He kind of lucked out with the trajectory of Richt's seniors

This is beyond laughable...one of the worst classes in 25 years. Not ONE was drafted and most in the class either quit or we're kicked out.

they beat, a laughably weak SEC East

So what?We beat a much stronger East this year in a rebuilding year with the youngest roster in the SEC.You continually stated we couldn't replace Sony and Chubb.

quote:

Sensible Georgia fans who understand that if they had a real HC, someone with a history, they would be almost unbeatable because of how they're recruiting.

Like Mullen? How'd he do the last 2 years vs
Kirby? The guy can't even pull top 10 classes with Miami and FSU in the gutter.Trash Mcelwain all you want but he left a far better senior class than CMR...

quote:

Look, he had a bad year

We dominated the SECE and gave Bama all they could handle in the SECCG game with youngest roster in the conference.

Lets not get weird just because these guys are trolling their dicks off in here. We won the east, period. There was nothing dominating about any of our performances. The talent differential was massive most of the time and we wore teams down in the 2nd half. Against similarly talented teams we didnt even get off the bus

We were a dysfunctional team this year. Super frustrating to watch. and i dont buy the "Fields distraction" theory. Yeah im sure it was a thorn in kirbys side all year. But it feels like theres continuity issues within this staff

What? We certainly dominated UK and beat UF by 20 points. Both top 15 teams. We also swept the East for the
2nd year in a row.Dont believe CMR accomplished it once.

Experience was a big factor in some of our underwhelming performances no matter how many 4 and 5
star Sophomore s and Freshman we had on the roster.

Bama and maybe LSU and UF probably will have more players drafted. (LSU will have more on defense for sure)

Even with the players transferring, UGA will be the most talented team in the East by far. Transfers and early pro departures is what happens when you recruit at an elite level. UGA has been recruiting at a Bama level the last 3 years. Bama loses most of their starters every year and reloads. UGA will do the same. They will still be really good, especially with a 3rd year starter at QB.

Going to be even funnier when they are sitting at home next year while Washington and Ohio State are in the playoffs with former Georgia QB’s starting

Wow if this happens Athens may burn.

Kirby is set for a long while. They are actually ahead of schedule & knocking on the door with a very young team.

I see a lot of Mack Brown in Kirby, avg coach that can recruit at an elite level. He'll either get the right coordinators or more likely the right QB & get a title eventually.

I'm not selling on Kirby just yet. He needs to humble himself though.

We're damn close. That said, quality of players doesn't do it all.

It's not automatic. There's a need for solid game planning and in game coaching.

When they either lose to Alabama for the third year in a row or watch Florida play in Atlanta for the SEC title?

Let's flip this script. What happens in Opelika when Georgia punks Auburn again, wins the East again and - the biggest fear in the hearts of all cuck aubies - Georgia finally takes out Alabama?

Just let that possibility sink in, if you can stomach it (which you can't).

UGA will remain 2 TDs better than every other East team and will also destroy Auburn. Kirby has no worries.

We’re recruiting the way we are because of Kirby.

You guys would have recruited the way you're recruiting regardless of who you brought in.

I mean, I understand that most Georgia fans are drinking induced brain damaged simpletons who only followed football midway last year -- but he's not some magical guy pitching wonderfully. He's not sucking dick like a champion, Georgia boosters simply opened up their wallets and the school flooded their recruiting budget (nickname) with more money than even Bama spending wise.

They upgraded facilities that they didn't want to under Richt. But the thing is: Kirby wouldn't go to UCLA and have a top five class, nor at just any other school. He's doing it specifically within the context of Georgia -- zero in-state rivals and the recruiting budget bloated well beyond what his predecessor was receiving.

Everyone could recruit Georgia, he took over the sixth most talented team in the country (on average from 2015 to 2016), INHERITED TOP SIX LEVEL TALENT. Source

Now you're three, and still have jack shite to show for it other than a participation trophy and a half-earned SEC Championship since the eventual National Champion was from the SEC as well and of course, as you know, you guys choked on a fat one to them.

Signed only 3 of the top 20 in-state prospects and still ended up with a top 3 class. How'd that happen?

Why couldn't CMR the 2nd half of his career? Ok,I'm gonna do this again for you since you're incapable
of understanding or flat out don't want to believe what happened with recruiting between '10 and '13. Georgia had THIRTEEN players drafted with those classes.Bama had 30 and UF had 26.Arkansas,LSU,OM and AU ALL had more players drafted. We finished tied with Missouri in that category.Recruiting did finally pick up in '14 aND
'15 no thanks to CMR and those classes still weren't close to what Kirby did these last 2 years.

God almighty, don't know how many times I have to make this point to you.

Such a joke.Do I really have to point out how horrible the senior class was he inherited? NOT ONE SENIOR WAS DRAFTED amd the ONE person who did get drafted was a junior in the 6th round.CMR had EIGHT players drafted off his 1st team if you really want to dig down and see
who was left with a better situation but of course you post a "team talent composite" that you think backs up your point.Do REALLY think a team that has ZERO seniors
drafted and one junior is a top 6 team?BTW the same "team talent composite" had FSU as the "5th most talented" team this year.Ya really think that's true?

BTW here's what happened to the coveted 2013 class

Georgia benefitted like Clemson in their division. Rising up among a bunch of pathetic schools to compete against. But it will be short lived. Kirby caught lightning in a bottle but it’s gone now. He will have to prove his coaching chops or just take what’s coming.

He's probably got one of the safest jobs in the country not named Saban.

If he wins 10+ games every year it will be a long time before his seat even gets smarmy.
