They have great receivers, just took them 2 qtrs to get going because they're qb was shook. But then so was the coaching staff.

We don’t have a Ryan Williams, but not many teams do. Our receivers are overall pretty good.

Money can't buy happiness. Hell money can't even buy kirby smart a hair cut that doesn't look like it came from fantastic Sam's.

At the level Georgia recruits, they should have Ryan Williams type of receivers

Shore up
Means to support or strengthen something, or to keep something from falling by placing something under or against it. For example, "They shored up the roof/wall" or "The tax cuts are supposed to shore up the economy".

Sure up
Is not a recognized phrase. Although it might seem logical to want to make something "sure" as in certain or unfailing, "sure up" is a syntactic impostor.

The expression "shore up" comes from the noun "shore", which means "prop". The verb "shore" dates from 1340 and was first recorded in a figurative context in 1581.

I wish A&M had a receiver like Dillon Bell.

Ryan Williams type receivers don't come along often.

How the frick is any team supposed to have multiple generational talents at one position at a given time?

That bobble/catch and the moves he put on the DBs afterwards show the type of player he is.

When have they ever had more than one at at time?

Some years they seem to have none.

We have never successfully recruited elite wide receivers under Kirby. I don't understand it either.

We do have Coley back as an assistant and he is an excellent recruiter so that might help

Elite receivers are concentrated on the I-10 corridor. UGA doesn’t have access to this area.

Maybe one day Georgia can play a neutral site game in a city that has I-10 running thru it.

Can dismiss all you want and UGA can certainly try but they’ve never been able to maintain enough of a foothold in the cradle of wide receivers to consistently get the elite ones. They’re not always the 5* can’t miss like Williams either, so sometimes they might even look past them.

When recruits discover that we haven’t had a 1,000 yard receiver in over 20 years, they scamper off to Bama, Tenn, LSU, OSU and Texas.

Can’t blame them.
