It probably wasn’t the worst thing they missed, but definitely a contender.

Refs subconsciously help out teams that are way behind. It's a pretty common thing in sports unfortunately. Probably just a part of human nature.

Not sure if serious (I assume you are), I tend to believe this. That's life. Human's like a good game. Who knew?

Strange in light of Alabama winning the game.

This missed call is why UGA had a chance.

Breaking news: SEC refs are turrible

do you actually believe the refs were kind to UGA yesterday?

Yes.

Georgia had 6 penalties for 50 yards.

Alabama had 10 penalties for 90’yards.

There were two obvious missed pass interference calls that should have been called on Georgia that ended Alabama drives.

So yes, I believe the refs were kind to Georgia yesterday.

Seems like I remember seeing lots of those when LSU would play in Tuscalooser and Tricky Nicky was working those same refs. Hmm how the turntables?

Yes, that was bad, but we got away with a blatant horse collar.

The two that pissed me off were after they brought in a new center and had 2 immediate false starts that went uncalled.

How are you not looking for that on the road with a 3rd string Center?!?

Kirk even called out the rules official "so it's okay for the WR to be moving forward like that on the snap?"

Do you believe that if one team has 12 penalties and the other team has 11 penalties that the refs were being "kind" to the 11 penalty team? Because that's what you are implying with this reply.

Depends on what the penalty is, and where and when.
Crooked refs will throw some bullshite flags against the preferred team to make it appear fair.
This isn’t rocket science, pretty obvious.

The ref crew seemed to lean a little more toward Georgia by the end of the game. As other said, they do try to subconsciously try to keep games even if one team is getting way ahead.

After watching numerous games I see holds that are really bear hug or take downs. Blatant holds that are not called. It’s getting ridiculous across the board. Every game has holds so obvious and not called u wonder about the dark side of college football. I’m not a classic hold. I’m talking about holds where offensive linemen wrap arms around players.

They were probably trying to make up for the 3 offensive pass interference calls they made.

Georgia wide receiver jumps drawing the linebacker offsides and they call the penalty on Alabama... The game was horribly officiated

I agree--blatant pass interference. I know officials make honest mistakes, but this one was very suspicious. Alabama would have been in good position to go up 37-7, but this non-call gave Georgia hope, and they capitalized on it. (By the way, I don't recognize many of the crews. Are we seeing new crews from the Big XII because of the SEC expansion?)

So, you are suspicious that some decision maker somehow knew if they gave UGA a call UGA would somehow score 4+ TD’s and get back in the game?

Ha! A bama person wondering how a call went against them. It probably stands out because you havent notice for 10 years how Bama gets favored treatment every game.

But just to answer your question, NO. Here is a typical .b.s. SEC call against A&M: no horsecollar as A&M is going in for the winning score vs. Auburn AT KYLE.

LINK

or should I show you the LSU game where A&M clearly recovers a fumble in the last minute in bounds with LSU driving, and the refs miss it, and then IGNORE it while A&M is standing there with the ball.

or maybe the one where A&M is driving to beat Georgia and our WR going over the middle is mugged and tackled before the ball gets there- no interference.

the list goes on....

Lot of NO calls in this one. However, that one ranks right up
There with all time worst. Even
Bama haters have no defense
For that mauling.
