Venables might be the best thing that’s happened to OU since Stoops was hired .

Hell this is the best staff top to bottom we've had since the early 2000s. That's why they can recruit like they do without even having coached a single game yet in Norman.

The honest truth from an objective Sooner…..

Lincoln was over his head day one, Stoops had just had it could not reconcile the crap that goes one with modern day college football with his strong Catholic faith. Stoops bailed and Riley was around. But Riley never grew beyond OC and once all the big 12 played 5 in secondary Riley offense was bad barely got third in a down year in the Big 12. Riley was about to be fired.

Venable fixes three things, 1 tough tackle to ground in practice which Riley never did, 2 he knows defense Riley was clueless, 3 he brings in the best OC in cfb Lebby….

Also Venables builds a long term culture…. My new license plate is 8 X NC……

Oh interesting.

Why are they able to recruit like they do?

I think he’ll be a slight downgrade but not terrible

SEC time though will be the telltale

That statement shows that you are clueless. Too many dipshits on this site. Any sites that actually talk intelligent football? Let me know

He's recruiting well so far.

I'm sick of the mid and low tier SEC schools thinking they are hot shite because of Bama and UGA

Don’t forget LSU, and UF, and Auburn. All teams that have won since Texas has. Or is Texas a mid-tier Big 12 team that just got lucky in 2005?

I hope Mobilhoma culture remains intact. Last Texas-OU game I attended, there was a rough looking lady (OU fan, of course) and she was wearing an OU t shirt with a photo of a baby flipping the bird. Caption beneath was “Hook this, Horns!”. I had to laugh. Never change that culture.

I thought their issue was most people don’t want to mess with trans kids.

You have to turn off that OKC/OU sports radio. They are worse than Little Rock when it comes to delusion.

That said, I agree with the Muschamp 2.0 comparison. Nebraska fans are worried about if they can get Frost fired after a loss to OU, but wait for the heat to get turned up on Venables after they lose to Nebraska.

Umm no you won’t. You will likely finish most seasons 5-4 in conference.
