Frack Tennessee.

The kids here have zero idea how strong the hate is with Bama fans.

It is a REAL rival.

No...4 SEC teams only have 3 due to ACC in-state rivalries.

I agree with 2 divs., the SEC should have chosen an Eastern team. However going to 4X4 pods can help better organize teams. Also, 16 teams is easier to schedule than 14.

In a 14 league team, if we don’t play 10 league games, probably should rotate all non-division games.

Before expansion happened in 2012, UGA was slated to rotate onto Bama's schedule in the 2012-2014ish years. Expansion happened and the schedule was changed to the "new" format and surprisingly (to no one) Bama dodged UGA and LSU got them again.

But my point remains: under the current scheduling rotation, LSU will play AT UGA once every decade or so. That's just stupid.

I do find the 4x4 scenario very interesting.

LSU played them in 2013 in Athens. Alabama played them in 2015 in Athens.

Under the "new" format we played
- 2012 @ Missouri
- 2013 @ Kentucky
- 2014 vs Florida
- 2015 @ Georgia

LSU played
- 2012 vs South Carolina
- 2013 @ Georgia
- 2014 vs Kentucky
- 2015 @ South Carolina (in BR due to weather)

Alabama will have played Georgia 4 times in the regular season between 2007 and 2020

LSU will have played Georgia 4 times in the regular season between 2007 and 2020

Correct, but we weren't supposed to before expansion. We just played them in 08/09 I believe and either Vandy or UK was supposed to be on our schedule in '13.

But my point remains: I'd give up the annual LSU/UF game to have the chance to visit other East schools more.

I think you get rid of east and west and mix up schedules for entire SEC. 10 conference games. 2 power 5 teams. No garbage mountain west American union conference teams.

The pod system thing is just way, way, way, way too smart and agreeable to everyone.

Because of these positive things it will never happen.

I actually believe it will in the coming years. There are too many reasonable solutions that appease everyone for it not to.

I'm at the point of giving up on the DSOR.Their fanbase has become unbearable since we've started to dominate the series and I don't want em in the East either.

They're more of an annoyance than a rival and we have to beat just to shut 'em up.Kinda like GT.

If we do away with divisions, I could live with:

Mississippi only, with all Charter Members rotating on a home & home, staggered.

All green-peas rotate on h&h, as required to fill schedule, with none having priority.

A&M, being equal to USC, Missouri, & Arkansas.

Eight (8) games ONLY, with top two teams meeting in SECCG.
