One of the main purposes of a conference is to allow for consistent scheduling of a group of regular opponents, usually in close proximity to one another. The SEC has fricked that up twice now with expansion into the Atlantic seaboard, the Midwest, and the Southwest.

I agree, we should go to a 9 game SEC schedule where the 10 original SEC schools all play each other in one season. The rest of you can go frick yourselves and play each other. You've done nothing for the SEC anyway, save some minor sports like equestrian and women's hoops. The Big A plus the Medium 4 (minus UT) run this league anyway.

I think the NCAA should change the rule and we get rid of divisions and the top two teams play in the SEC championship game.

I am a old school SEC guy. Would rather the SEC drop 10 teams so we all play each other, and pickup Ga Tech on the reg again.

4x4 pods paired up & switched each year.

SECCG participants
Y1 - AB winner vrs. CD winner
Y2 - AC winner vrs. BD winner
Y3 - AD winner vrs. BC winner

Y4-6 host schools flipped.

I love the UF game, I don't care about the rest. But it seems more fair to rotate and get rid of the permanent.

I would love to see us go to 10 teams and everyone play everyone, but that will never happen.

So most years in the past where you’ve had your best teams (like the kick six one), you wish you’d have had to play Bama again to win the conference?

It’s not really the divisions themselves but round robin play for the two championship participants

Adding 2 teams at 4X4 pods would make things easier.

But what two teams? Clemson and FSU would be logical choices, but Florida is gonna raise a bitch and probably South Carolina as well.

And then comes the pods.......there’s no way you can do that without somebody’s jimmies getting rustled.

You gotta get rid of Vandy and Arky, forget adding. Neither of those teams will ever compete for championships ever again.

Do it like the Big 10 does with Indiana-Purdue. Keep UGA-Auburn and Alabama-Tennessee permanent, and have the other teams keep no permanent opponents. That way everyone gets what they want

Man, our guys can read. Not a lot or well, but we can do it. I am pretty sure. Maybe.

Ok, Vandy stays. But Mizzou gotta go.

& divisions keep 1/2 the conference compared to each other. EASIER way than trying to compare 14 teams to each other.
& a HELL of a lot BETTER to determine the SECCG candidates.

Georgia and LSU played each other 7 times between 2004 and 2018

9 times from 2003-2018.

Each is 2-1 vs the other at home, and LSU is 2-1 in the SECCG.

Any 2 teams & then sort the pods.

No way to do what?

No division proponents put USC with UGA. We don't want them. What is there (beside a state border)?

Then tell me HOW that is a fair rotation? The 4 will take 12 years to do 1 full rotation. The other 10...7.

Also, I don't know if it's even possible to have 2 rotation schedules at the same time.

Should be Mizz. & TA&M due to joining together...just like SC & Ark. did.
